Super Star Soldier 3D
Developed by NEC HE - Shooter - Unreleased

The same batch of photos out of NEC HE (with the LoT FX pixs), also had what appeared to be a different type of shooter for the FX. The name "Super Star Soldier 3D" was attached to those photos, and thus became a game that was never seen again. This title appearantly was supposed to be a continuation of the Super Star Soldier series from the PC Engine, with more detailed sprites and some 3D elements. A few renderings of the ship was all that was available, and as we now see, NEC never brought this title out to the public.

The Feb. ‘94 issue of EDGE Magazine appears to have the only real-time screenshot of the game (shown below after the rendered shots) and if the shot is indeed real, proved that the PC-FX could render real-time polygons, which has been in doubt.
