NEC PC-FX BMP
FX-BMP
The PC-FX BMP is the official memory backup solution for the PC-FX.  It is a must-have for any PC-FX owner that plays a lot of RPG’s or simulation games on the FX.

All PC-FX games support the FX-BMP backup unit, so there is no need to worry about compatibility issues and games will automatically save to the FX-BMP unit when inserted into the PC-FX.

To use the PC-FX BMP, follow the following easy steps:

1. First, make sure that the power to the PC-FX is turned off.

2. Open the front expansion port cover by pressing in on it first (you should hear a clicking sound)

3. Insert the PC-FX BMP into the slot, making sure that the back of the BMP is facing the right of the unit (see diagram).  Make sure the BMP is all the way in.

4. Close the expansion port cover (you should hear a click).

The PC-FX BMP requires 2 AAA batteries to operate.  Follow the steps below to insert the batteries.

1. Slide the battery cover away from the BMP to open.

2. Insert 2 AAA batteries into the unit.  Pay attention to the direction of each battery. If the batteries are inserted incorrectly, the BMP will not operate.

3. Slide the battery cover back on to the BMP.
