Quote from: Joe Redifer on 05/07/2018, 10:31 PMI also backed the Kickstarter/Indiegogo/whatever it was. But I didn't get the LE because I generally don't like LEs. Who has room for a bunch of LE stuff?
I used to get LE's, but, yeah, seriously, I try to avoid them now.  Between cost & lack of space.....just, yeah.
I completely agree with both of you, but I must admit I make one exception to the rule: agents of FEKA must always be hunted down. Always.

There is only one way to do that, of course.

Yeah, it's horrendous.

There is a video of that CES with a camcorder... Bonk actually "harasses" folks... it makes you feel really bad for the performer inside the stoopid costume.

Quote from: Digi.k on 04/18/2018, 09:53 PMcoming back to this thread I honestly feel the pc engine sound chip benefits greatly when the audio is fed through  a sound equaliser.

I just been trying my hand with DaVinci video editing and the sound equaliser in that while I'm getting to grips with it I am almost happy to get my captures to sound almost as it did when I hooked my pce to an old analogue amp I owned for 20 years. But sadly one of the audio channels is screwed up so I only get sound coming from 1 speaker...
IMG

Just like gamers today struggling to get their fancy consoles to display the correct brightness/tones and saturations on their high end 4k screens.  Old systems like the pc engine should be hooked to audio systems and calibrated to sound great.
Now I wonder if I can make Rastan Saga 2 sing?
OK, so I still use an old receiver for sound for all my consoles... but I don't use an equalizer (beyond the basic bass/treble controls on the receiver itself).

Equalizers were all the rage when I was a kid in the 80's, but I never really thought they were necessary... however, when making LeDoodles, I have had a lot of fun isolating certain channels and manipulating them individually. Obviously I am limited in what I can do, but I have far greater options with PSG channel manipulation than Red Book audio final mix.

SO... I have really been wondering how I could "correct" for poor judgement in the final mix of all music, not just video game music.

I should point out that I tend to have different equalizer settings for headphones vs. standard stereo speakers...

...it's really crazy when I want to change settings for each song (OCD).

I just know I don't want to constantly tinker with an equalizer for every single game I play. Or for each damn stage.

Or maybe I do?

Ok, that is awesome.

We need to bring back mascots like this.

SRSLY.

PERSONALLY, although I purchased my TG-16 and first few games from TRU, most of my memories purchasing games are from a local mom-n-pop (TG-CD, Splatterhouse, Bloody Wolf, Final Zone II, etc)

And Electronics Boutique and Software Etc.  In the mall.

I think most games were from the mall  ?

Probably.

Quote from: Everblue on 04/16/2018, 09:05 AMI find that the PCE controller cable are too short, same with the Super Famicom's. I wonder if the idea is to hook up the console only when you are going to play, place the controller on the floor as far from the TV as possible, then sit a couple of feet on the floor, away from the console.
Sakura's stage from SF Alpha/Zero 2 I thought conveyed a typical Japanese gamer back in the day.

I would love that hat, but it is ugly as fuck and no matter how much I would love to waste $500 on TG-16 stuff, I can't justify that much.

But, don't ask what I would be willing to pay, because it would be too much (no, I don't have an actual number in my head, but I know I am stoopid).

Oh, and the best part is that the hat COULD NEVER POSSIBLY FIT MY FAT FUCKING HEAD.

I would love to wear the damn thing and *ONLY* be mocked for its aesthetics, not for its tiny size.

:)

I want a wallet, hat, football, fuck me.

It would be easy to make wallet/football today, but that hat is *not* easy to fake. It seems pretty hard to make a bootleg hat like that.

Everyone I've ever seen playing one at the time loved it! Even more so than the Sega CD. I know they just didn't have the money like Sega did at the time for TV spots but damn it really could've helped. So many were not in the know, but they all thought FMV was the future.
They should have hired Tony Hawk to go around filming random people enjoying the Duo more than Sega-CD.
STOP IT!

Tony and Hawk on team PCE were better than Marky Mark and Kriss Kross on Team FEKA.

The best PCE controllers have a mini-DIN that hasn't been bent, broken or crushed by a powerful force.

You can also use TG-16 controllers (we refer to this at pcefx as going "FULL DIN") with a PCE console if you get a DIN to mini-DIN cable.

I know this person has to be goofing...OR IS HE?

j/k, this person is off his meds.

Also, since we are talking about Exile, the game we know on PCE/TG-16 as "Exile" is actually the second installment...and the first game is supposed to be totally wacky/crazy with its plot/storyline/premise.

Or so I've been told, anyway.

Here is the most important thing:
I "fixed" the American flag featured in a boss fight, only to realize that the *original* design in the game is actually far more charming.

No, I've never played MSX Exile.

SWEET BEBE JESUS, this is finally done.

This was *INTENDED FOR OCTOBER 30th PCE 30th ANNIVERSARY* ...but, ha!, no surprise, I'm two months late. At least it is still technically 2017 for a couple days.

So... I missed October 30th deadline... then I missed my next goal (November 30), so I was determined **not** to miss my final goal (December 28th)... therefore, you can imagine how frustrated I was last night when I *unknowingly* deleted an hour of audio edits... if you hear any audio levels clipping, it's because I missed a bunch of things in my rush to upload by 11:59:59 PM on December 28th.

Sweet bebe Jesus.

THANK YOU: A very special "Thank You!" to a generous pcefxer (hoobs88) for making 09:37 a reality. The chest/fanny pack will make an appearance in nearly all future LeDoodles. Thanks again. :)
