I was never dead. I've devoted the past two years on my pecs.

This may or may not have an impact on my animation skills.

Mine arrived! Happy to be Psycho Arkhan's guinea pig for the (INSANELY SWEET!) poster packaging!

IMG

The game arrived in one piece too. Aside from the sticky residue left on the front case from the packaging tape, there aren't any cracks, broken hinges or anything.

This was a really, really well done effort! The poster looks like it could easily pass as 80's/90's full page ad you'd find a gaming magazine, from the fleshed out hand drawn art down to the energy-driven marketing!

Amazing stuff, Aetherbyte raises the bar again! :D

I have a lot of games that have been sitting around for years that I don't play and probably never will and would like to clear up some space. So here's my sale!

All prices are totally negotiable, so don't feel afraid to ask! Shipping prices will have to be calculated at checkout... I'd prefer to stick to flatrate Priority Mail boxes when applicable, but I can ship any method and won't charge for handling.

Sony AM/FM Stero Cassette-Corder Model No. WA-200 - Sweet 80's walkman I picked up at a thrift store years ago. Something about it doesn't work, I can look into it if anyone's interested. Name your price!

IMG

Power Joy (Famicom clone) Controller - Also don't know much about this other than it's one retarded controller with a cartridge slot in the back that plays Famicom games. I think it also has crappy built in games on the chip. Never been able to try using this, it might require a special battery pack to power it on, which I don't have. Name your price!

IMG IMG

The Simpsons DVD sets - Simpsons 6th season DVD set (looks brand new, unused) - $7

IMG

2gb Dell Laptop RAM - Two 1gb Dell RAM sticks for laptops. Haven't tested them but they look unused. Product code is SNPINSP6000BK2/2GX7. Will sell for $20 and offer refund if product doesn't work.

Coupon Dispensers - Uhh, yeah. I got these from a grocery store I worked at years ago thinking it would be awesome, but never did anything cool with them. These DID work when I first got them, but I can't get them to power on with batteries at the moment, maybe I just need to play around with them more. I'll sell them $5 a piece, or $6 for both, or best offer. They come with [expired] coupons!

At last, it's time for the Mysterious Song check disc raffle! There are 15 contestants (sorry Arkhan, I excluded you since you get to keep the Mysterious Insanity disc). A $5 - $9 donation receives one entry into the raffle, $10 - 14 receives two, $15 - 19 receives three, $20 - 24 receives four, and $25 and over receives a maximum of 5 entries. I will be using random.org's random number generator to determine the winners.

The first drawn winner will receive this fully-working replicated "check disc" for the final, complete form of Mysterious Song.

/ejzkzn.jpg
/vzgck2.jpg
/awpclw.jpg

And the follow-up winner will receive this badass hand drawn bonus artwork by CrackTiger!

IMG
IMG

These prizes will be sent from two separate locations, so shipping time will vary.

I will be posting the randomized user list and winners in the following posts! Good luck!

Good thread! Gotta say, I like the ball color variety in Chew Man Fu :P .

How about Winds of Thunder vs Lords of Thunder?

IMG
IMG

There's less artwork obscured in the Japanese version, but I think the LoT font kicks ass (I think the name sounds cooler too). You think maybe TTi purposely made the title logo so big to censor the little naked fairy things on the bottom?

I still stand by the Joe Redifer-Stephen Baldwin resemblance I mentioned years ago.

Quote from: guest on 10/24/2008, 12:00 PMI'm gonna go old school: most of the first and second gen stuff was pretty utilitarian and ugly (i.e. - Odyssey, Channel F, Colecovision, and Intellivision).
No way, those old skool consoles were the coolest! You just can't go wrong with 70's electronics. I'd also like to point out that the Astrocade has the coolest controller ever made.

IMG

Am I the only one who thinks the Shuttle Grafx looks awesome, by the way? Some people seem like they were born to absolutely loath it. SuperGrafx rules too, especially in person.
#21
Haha awesome, thanks for the pic and comment. Incase your wondering, the score does max out at 999. Here's a pic of it in action at Turbo Fest 2008:

IMG

If we ever get around to working on this game more, we have plans for adding a four player death mode where there is a paddle for each side of the screen. We were also going to incorporate Bonk sound effects, music, and graphical effects.

I also noticed right after posting the screenshot in this thread earlier that the second player "paddle" is backwards! Will have to fix that sometime.
#22
Here's just a little demo me and tomaitheo/Bonknuts made for Turbo Fest 2008 at the Midwest Gaming Classic. It's just a hack of another pong demo on PCE with new graphics made by moi. We had more plans for it, but had to get the basic design done in time for the convention. Enjoy!

Turbo Pong

Keep in mind that this is an ISO and not a ROM, so you'll need to virtually mount it or burn it. Sorry for that inconvience, we had to use ISO at the time since it would be running off CD at the convention. I'll see if tom can compile a ROM version later.

IMG
How exactly would you play a CD with the booster on? Perhaps the Super Turbo Booster II EX+ Alpha already includes CD support (as well as HD DVD/BluRay/Laserdisc support, of course).
#25
Haha, 3DO would be a pretty good one to put on that list. I like the PS2 logo, even though it's kinda trying to be a little too flashy. Me and my bros always made fun of PS3 having the same font as Spiderman.

I also thought it was a little bogus for the Game Gear logo to be on there. Like Turbo Express, it was pretty plain but I like the simplicity of it. He went on to praise the other Sega logos, but I think the Saturn logo is a little cheesy. I also would've added N64 to the list or swapped it with Gamecube.

How about the R-ZONE logo?

Very interesting name differences, CrackTiger! Some of those names sound they like came straight outta old days, I wouldn't be suprised of the name "Coon Kid" crossed their minds.

I don't think this is as racist as the heads in Doki Doki Panic though.

Kinda the same deal in Japan.  I d/led Ys I II (awesome!  duh :)) and even though Cho Aniki came out, Gradius II was pushed back.  That possibly delayed the next couple games too.

Oh, and the next CD games in Japan to be released are Dynastic Hero, Take the A Train, Kawa no Nushi Tsuri (Fishing game), and Gradius II.  Interesting spread I guess.
