I have really enjoyed the duomazov website over the years, so I hope that this is only temporary.
#2
My copy arrived yesterday, and I was able to play it today.  Fun game!
#3
I pretty much agree with Mat here.  It's a really neat shoot-'em-up that I like to pull out and play 2-player and let my Playstation friends see what this system was capable of.  They really say, "Wow!  That's impressive!"  Is it the best PC Engine shoot-'em-up?  That's hard to say, but it is one of my favorites for sure.

Quote from: esteban on 12/19/2017, 05:30 PMI MAY HAVE ONLY GOTTEN TO LEVEL THREE.
You know what other game where I've only gotten to level three? Nexzr.

...I may have made it to level four once. Once.  8-[
Go for it!  Nexzr, while difficult, is not impossible.  I know this, because I bear it a couple of years ago, after working hard on it for several days.  After I beat it, I immediately went back and beat the caravan version just to see the differences.

Congratulations, Necromancer on a hard fought clear!  I don't know if I have the fortitude to go after clearing Deep Blue, myself...    ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

This is pretty cool news!  I'll have to pop my copy in and try this out soon!

Has anyone played all of the way through the shoot-'em-up yet to see how long it is?

I checked my copy of Dead of the Brain, and while my copy does include the spine card, it does not have a registration card.

For Madou Monogatari, my copy does include the spine card, and it does include another piece oc paper.  This slip of paper doesn't look like a registration card, but I don't really know what it is, and it came with my copy of Madou Monogatari.

Looks somewhat like Actraiser for the SNES... in style of gameplay anyway.

Quote from: pc_kwajalein on 02/27/2017, 03:51 PM-EDIT- After a dozen more failed attempts, I realized something and decided to try a VERY RISKY strategy that miraculously paid off. If any CPU opponent gets a large payout in poker, the whole thing crumbles. Luckily (this time), they never got poker payouts big enough to threaten the scheme (although one came excruciatingly close).  Here are some better looking pics of my second triumph over the other 4 CPU opponents.

-One final affirmation from the game. It felt even MORE deserved this time.

Oh, just in case anyone wants to get the $10 million without doing any of the work, here's a code for $9.999M:

Yes, I would agree that this counts as having beat the game.

Quote from: guest on 07/24/2017, 08:57 PMThank you Mitsuman, without your horseback pursuit hint I really wouldn't have beaten the game.

The story isn't very complex but it was way more than I expected. I enjoyed this game a lot, wish I knew how to properly kill generals back when I thought this was a bad game.

edit: final chapter of the video series literally no one's watching or cares about

Updated today.  Well, we as a forum have knocked out 2 of the 22 remaining so far this year.  Can we beat any more ?

Some good games there.  Somebody ought to grab 'em!

(I already have all of them.)

Now we need to start planning Octurbofest!

I think that I have to fall on the "Orange seems to fit the menu color scheme better, and be much more visable." camp.  I can see the argument for white, but I just think orange is better here.

Welcome to Pcenginefx...  It would help if you post an introduction thread here letting us know a bit about yourself and your history with the TurboGrafx-16.

Kudos to you for this raffle!

I would put something towards a group purchase of such, but yeah, $6,800 is likely out of reach.

Played some Battle Lode Runner, Bomberman '94, and Darius Plus at VGS last Saturday.  While I failed miserably at Battle Lode Runner and Bomberman '94, not even winning one round, at least I redeemed myself with Darius Plus, getting first place!
#21
If there were enough interest and support, then maybe a group could purchase one or more of these prototypes so as to release them.

It's a fun shoot-'em-up. I didn't think that it was that pricy, but I know that some prices have definitely been going up.

If you have a Turbo Everdrive, that would come in handy, otherwise hardware-wise, we are good! Thanks!
No Everdrive, just 600+ games.  Lol. Maybe one day I'll have to do a switch on that for space.

Thank you.

I love playing on all the different hardware.

I love the NA hardware, too.

Everyone enjoys different things, and I certainly enjoy the physical hardware aspect of all the old consoles.
I agree with Esteban.  If you have the funds, then go ahead and try it out.  For me, I felt that getting the Super Grafx and a Super CD Rom2 with an Arcade Card and a region mod was the way to go.

Well, I was able to get some much-needed practice in for Darius Plus and Battle Lode Runner.  Unfortunately, I'm still not very good at either...    ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

At least I'm definitely coming, and bringing someone, too!  I'll see all of you there.

Nice video review!  I'd like to see you do another one.

I missed out last year, but I think that I should be able to make it this year.

I beat the PC Engine version.

Finally updated today.  I double-checked everything, and yes we cleared 113 out of the possible 135, leaving 22 unbeaten in 2016.  Maybe we can beat these 22 this year?

Welcome to Pcenginefx!  Yes, get a PC Engine Duo.

Great!  Yeah, most of the remaining games are definitely the more difficult ones.  I've been beating my head against the wall, trying to take R-Type down. I've made it up to level 6, but man, my shooter-fu is weak...   ](*,)  I might be able to do Boxy Boy if Desh has given up and is willing to share his current level password.  I know that there are a few other games that were being worked on; hopefully they'll be cleared before the end of 2016.

For 2017, I was thinking of just starting a new thread fresh and try again to beat 'em all, but maybe we need a point system where easier games get less points than the more difficult games.  That would require figuring out difficulty tiers though...  We might be able to do a prize of some sort, something more tangible than simple bragging rights.   :-k. What do y'all think, or does anyone else have any ideas?
#50
Nice!  Now could you go ahead and clear TG-16 R-Type for our 2016 game clear thread?   :-"
