@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

I just read about this over at slashdot:
http://tech.slashdot.org/story/13/01/08/1648227/adobes-strange-software-giveaway-goof-or-clever-marketing

Sounds like there's some speculation right now on if this is a goof by Adobe or perhaps a marketing tactic?

Anyway, I thought some of you might want a legit version of Photoshop or Premiere, even if it's a few generations old.

Here's the direct link to Adobe's download page if you're not interested in reading the article. :P

That's pretty cool actually.  When I was in college I used a lot of Premier in my film classes and it was right around the time this version was out.

It may be old, but I actually know how to use it.  Looking forward to reliving my college film school glory days.

Thats pretty awesome. I use CS4 but I'm not sure if there is a single feature in it that I use that isn't also in CS2. %90 of updates to Photoshop are useless, even most pro users.

Sweet! CS2 runs pretty well on a netbook, and I like free and legal.

Ji-L87

That's seriously cool if it were true.

Yeah, I agree with that one.
Right now I use CS3. It's not...really a legal version and it would feel a bit weird to jump back to CS2 but there are only a few things that I really feel CS3 does better than the other version I've used before.

Loading times are short and sweet. That's the best new thing. That new menu system? Horrible - also, it likes to reset to default sometimes...when resolution issues, main/secondary monitor issues occurs. Still not a big fan of the default, hard round brush (not really hard enough) and there's just too much things in there I don't need.

Or wait...could PS in CS4 rotate the workspace seamlessly instead of 90/180 degrees at a time or is that just my imagination? Want to remember Wacom's Intuos 4 tablet boasted that feature if used with CS4....

That would actually be a useful feature, instead of all that other stuff.

Adobe says the page and downloads are for people who legally own the software but can't install/reinstall from the original discs due to the activation servers being shut down.  Ergo, this isn't any more 'free' than grabbing the newest version off a torrent.

That said.... downloading now!

It's their way of "saying" that they don't give no fucks.

This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

Aw, man. I already have a legit copy of the CS2 suite. I bought the Academic version for $400 in 2005. I've been using it ever since then and only recently got (a not-so-legit copy of) CS6. However this is good news if the activation process does indeed fail because I'll be rebuilding my WinXP machine and re-installing CS2 soon.

Yep, when I installed InDesign last night, I don't even think it tried to ping a server when I entered the serial number they provide.

VestCunt

Sweet. I still use CS2. Reinstalled it on one of my computers last month and the activation keeps popping up. Looks like this will solve it.
I'm a cunt, always was. Topic Adjourned.
