12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

Since I always end up finding "new" commercials for the Turbo when casually browsing youtube, I thought it would be cool to have a thread where we (try to) list all commercials aired in the US... maybe even JP ones.

I'll begin with the 8-bit vs 16-bit Adventure Island from TTi that I found today:
(sorry if there is a similar thread but I couldn't find it)
This Toxic Turbo Turd/Troll & Clone Warrior calls himself "Burning Fight!!" at Neo-Geo.com
For a good time reach out to: aleffrenan94@gmail.com or punchballmariobros@gmail.com
Like DildoKobold, dildos are provided free of charge, no need to bring your own!
He too ran scripts to steal/clone this forum which blew up the error logs! I deleted THOUSANDS of errors cause of this nutcase!

For one of the better looking games on the system, they sure should a dull level for the comparison.

Anyway I think we've done one of these threads before but I don't think I've seen that ad. There are some awesome PC Engine ads as well, but I'm too lazy to dig up the thread.

EDIT: Well I gave it the old college try and couldn't find the thread. Here's the PC Engine commercial playlist though.

I never saw this!  I love the animated Bonk scenes.  Also amused by Hani in the Sky and Gunhead in Sadler's post.

The video I saw the most was probably the Lords of Thunder promo video, my friend actually got a copy when it was new, he still has the tape I think.  And you can't forget this classic:

Hey Yandman,

Your link was broken, but I found this one with a quizk re-type. These commercials made me Turbo-Crazy when I was a kid, especially the Legendary Axe commercial:
Keith Courage is #1. Alpha Zone inhabitant for life. Thanks to this forum for rejuvenating and continuing my interest in all things Obey.

That was great!

Can someone tell me if this commercial was a reworking of an earlier commercial? Thanks in advance.

SuperPlay

I pulled together a whole bunch of adverts from YouTube into one video a while back

http://tinyurl.com/pyhgmkp

I did not edit or perform normalization to the audio so this jumps all over the show.

Credit for all of the videos goes to the original uploaders including Gameads, ASSEMbler and here!

Not sure the timeline on that commercial compared to earlier ones. But I do indeed remember seeing it in my youth.

I'll have to watch all the commercials SuperPlay linked to and see which ads are 100% unique verses partial recycling of old footage.
