10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

I have no idea how that works, but I too am now interested in finding the answer.

well i'd pressume that since the ps3 has a hard drive built in all data needed to play the gam online would be installed on there, then again it is sony so probably not

to use a ps2 memory card on the ps3, you have to create an image of it onto the hard drive. So you might have to create some sort of ps2 partition, idk. Anyways I don't think that is possible. Anyone here with a ps3 and that game?

If i remember correctly FFXI installs to a PS2 hard drive addon, i honestly don't understand what youre asking Kenomac.

The game would still be installed on the ps2 and if you installed it on a ps3 then all you'd need to do is swap discs between the consoles, that is of course your using the same character between the 2 consoles, if not you'd have to purchase a new account for the other console (i think)

hope that helps

Square doesn't mind how many consoles you install on, you can only log on with your ID on one system.

Everything I've ever heard about FFXI and PS3 has said that it doesn't work and never will. My bro plays FFXI all day everyday. He played the PS2 version for a year or so before upgrading to a 360.

If you're a fan of the game at all, you should get a 360 to play it over the PS2 version. Aside from the visual and text upgrades, only the 360 version has voice chat.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

GUTS

PS2 games that use a hard drive won't recognize the ps3 hard drive, no idea why but they won't.
