Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: Boxed CoreGrafx
10/03/2016, 06:27 AM
Hi guys.
Looking for a boxed complete CoreGrafx I or II. It has to be in fully working order.
Im located in Denmark, so a european seller would be nice. It could save me some money (import taxes).
Let me know what you have. Thanks.
#2
Thanks.
Will try it out tomorrow.
#3
Thanks for the update mate.
Have had several cartridge based systems over the years but never one with this issue.
#4
No not really. Just don't have the time right now to take it apart and fix it. Besides, i have other console related stuff to buy, so if you are looking for a neat little project, here is the chance.

Item still for sale. Now tested on a CRT. Please read this thread for further info:
https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=12024.0

To make things short, the machine is working. Not perfectly, but people suggest that it might need a cleaning in the slot. One minute the game works. Next time you boot it up, it doesn't. Just a white screen. So if you are are interested in opening this and clean it through, you might have a fine machine here.

Im also aware that i can't get a full price on a PCE with this problem. Therefore I'm willing to let this go at a fair price. Let me know if you are interested.
#6
The machine is ready for a new home if anyone wants it. Pictures can be found in the sales thread.
Thanks.
#7
Just a wicked thought i got...: could it be the games not working as they should? They are bought as junk on SMJ.
#8
Hi again guys.
Now i have had the oppotunity to test the machine on a CRT. Its really weird. Now 3 games of the 10 tested worked perfectly. Crisp graphics and sounds. The remaining games just had a white screen. And just to be sure, i tried the 3 working games again, and guess what.. The games didn't start up. Just a plaino white screen. This really makes me angry. What can be done?
Just forgot.. Yes the switch is set on "II".
#9
Quote from: Deletion on 06/09/2012, 09:34 AMThose are Japanese HuCards, right? A white screen will show up if you try to play American TurboChips on a PCE or vice versa.
Yes sir. All japanese.
#10
Thanks. My next move was actually to test it on a CRT. Funny thing is i tried all those HUcards. Bought as junk on SMJ BTW. Its not the first time i purchased something labelled as "junk" and it still was working. So far i have tested the machine with 24 games. None working. But one was different. It started up with a black screen and a lot of static noises. Don't know if it tells you something.
#11
Hi.
I just tested a SG on my new plasma screen. The console uses the standard av cable, no mods here. But the only thing i get when starting up, is a blank white screen. No sound. The switch in the back is set on "II". I tried with 10+ games and the result are the same. Funny thing is, when i tried it on my older tv a couple a years ago, it worked flawlessly.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, if anybody wants this for 180USD plus shipping and 4% in PP fees, i will let it go.

Hi guys.
Got this fine machine i might want to let go. I have to get some other PCE related stuff. But before doing so, i would like to know how much i should be able to get from this deal. I can see the machines on Ebay sells for around $200, but i guess the bay is overpriced as usual.
Here are some pics:

I have used SMJ alot of times. Almost every time i get caught with my pants in the mouth (or whatever phrase you might prefer). I get carried away when searching for nice and inexpensive stuff, but when the total adds up, hell is loose :)
Well, sometimes there is a small amount to be saved, but as a generel rule, the invoice ends up equal to Ebay or worse.
#15
Years ago i found a nice file containing most (if not all) HUcards released with a short description and screens. Is this file still for download somewhere?

Second... Like Neo-geo.com has a price guide for their carts, does there exist some kind of similar list for the HUcards?

Thx.
#17
Now i finally got my machine. A boxed SuperGrafx. Can't wait to get it home :) Next up, must be a Super CD ROM if i can find one at a reasonable price.
#18
Is the machine more reliable than the Super Cdrom?

Quote from: Mathius on 04/29/2012, 04:20 PMWelcome back!

I would post a WTB thread in the PC Engine Sales Forum for a Duo-R and see what happens. :)
Thanks for the welcome :)

Im not really sure yet which way to go. Still considering a Core Grafx + cd setup, Super Grafx + cd setup or a Duo.
#20
Hey Soop.
For the price of a cd unit, i could just as well buy a Duo-R. A boxed one on the bay goes for $240.

Hmm.. Might as well go through SMJ to see if im lucky.
#21
Like i wrote, a Duo-R  8)

EDIT: You were referring to the Core Grafx setup and then a cd-unit? How much should i expect to pay for that unit?

PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / Hi guys.
04/29/2012, 01:53 AM
Damn.. Time flies.
My last post was in 2008. My children has grown bigger now, and now i want to rejoin the PCE scene.

One of my friends is looking for a Duo, and i thought: been there, done that. Used to have a Core Grafx II, Supergrafx and a Duo-R. What could possibly be so cool about that machine? Well, i thought about it last evening and the idea grew on me. Actually so much that i now want one myself... Which one is the question at the moment. IMO the Core Grafx is the most beautiful console of all time, but the lack of playing cd's makes it a no-go right now. So the solution must be a Duo-R.
Anyways.. Just wanted to say hi  :P
#23
Quite simple actually. I have several 6 button controllers i want to try out with KOF for the PS2. And it's only because i'm waiting for the Namco sticks to arrive. So there you have it :)
#24
Is it possible to connect a 6 button PCE controller to a PS2? I have tried to search the web for a adaptor of some kind, but without any luck. Thx.
#25
That's shipping for the two sticks. Insured. Shipping only :)
#26
Quote from: nat on 02/07/2008, 12:51 PMIs shipping really that expensive from Europe? I mean, geez. What about shipping via surface? It's not like you're shipping a TV.

I've bought stuff shipped from Europe, and using the slowest method, it's usually only a few bucks.
Please remember this is a package 5kg+ (10lbs+). It's not a small envelope ;) But i know what you think. I have the same problem. Everytime i want something related to the gaming industry, my money is spend in either US or Japan. And the shipping from both countries are way expensive.
#27
Quote from: shubibiman on 02/07/2008, 12:58 PMHow much would it be for both controllers with shipping to France?
$52. Shippingtime is 2-3 days to you. Thanks.
#28
Please remember these tanks are heavy! :) About 2kg each, so the shipping is expensive. $69 insured to the US coastline. Shippingtime is 8-9 days. And thats to the country only. Not to you. So please allow more time before you recieve them.
There is a faster way. 5-6 days to YOU but thats insane and ridiculous $92.
#29
I would prefer to sell them both :) I hate to estimate the pricetag. Please hit me with serious offers. Thanks.
#30
Due to a paintjob, i have removed the feet and screws on the no.2 stick. Thats why it may look a bit not-so-complete.
#31
In the meantime i sold my CoreGrafx, and i have this crush on a jap DC. That's way i'm letting them go. I'm open to offers. These sticks are located in Denmark. Both sticks works like a charm. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
#32
Up for sale are my 2 boxed Hori's. I would prefer an european buyer, because of the lame shipping-rates. Paypal only.

How is the quality of the ASCII compared to the original Hori?
#34
On hold.
#35
Allright, this baby is still available. I'm not that desperate do depart with it, but i would like to hear from you guys how much i can expect to sell it for. Anyway, it's probably less than i paid for it. Thanks.
#36
Hi guys.
Just received my 2 Hori's from Japan. One of them has caught a serious Ebola thing. Lots of surface rust. Please see the picture.
Is this common with the sticks? And how can i fix this with a nice result?

Quote from: D-Lite on 12/12/2007, 01:39 PMAnd the answer is.... 3 lbs 15 oz

EACH, boxed.

They are, in layman's terms, heavy bastards.
Thx for the service Dean. I must crawl to the altar on my bleeding knees, forgiving myself for making such a mindblowing purchase. I have to accept the shipping and so my life ended (when the wife hears about it;))
#38
LOL I'm a dane. Forgive my engrish. You know what i mean :)
#39
The items were bought and stored in Japan. The price might be high due to the psychical size of the package, and not so much the weight? They are shipped by plane, and the size could actually matter in this case. I'm not sure about it though.
#40
Remember, this is the shipping from SMJ to Denmark. Not the japanese seller to SMJ. Therfore it has to be SMJ that has calculated the prize. I may have to mail SMJ and ask them about this issue.
#41
$80 to Denmark. I have purchased through Shoppingmall before, no problem there. Just this time i think the shipping is killing the deal :(
#42
Quote from: D-Lite on 12/10/2007, 06:48 PMI'll get back to you in a bit on that.  Boxed or unboxed?  Which shipping method?
2 boxed sticks. EMS. Thx :)
#43
Hi guys.
I have received a shippingbill from Shoppingmall Japan. I think its pretty steep considering the goods are only 2 sticks.
Can any of you supply me with a weight of one stick, so i can calculate the shippingprice myself? Thanks.
#44
Hehe I'm on :) I don't think this little country can take another crisis on their conscience (who said Muhammed:)), so a good ol' fashion snowball fight sounds great.
#45
We will conquer the territory muhuhahaha :) Seriously, the Euro was voted down by the danish people. As for myself, i don't care if we have Euro or Danish Krone. As long as i get my paycheck i'm fat 'n happy  :D
#46
Shipping to Great Britain is $37. Thanks.
#47
Thank you sire! O:)
#48
Well i'm still that new to this scene. Where do i locate the turbolist?
#49
Never really tried the Turbolist. Might give it a shot.
I'm looking for the matching SuperCD. Not the suitcase thingie...
#50
I'm on the hunt for the CD add-on for my Core Grafx II, and was hoping for some recommendations besides the bay. Any of you know where to buy fairly cheap PCE hardware? Shoppingmall could be the answer. However, last time i saw a complete boxed set, the auction text was complete and utterly engrish. Therefore i could not get myself to place a bid.
Thx.
