2/13/2025: Localization News - Cosmic Fantasy 3-4!

Rather earth-shattering news in the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 community: Cosmic Fantasy 3 & 4 has been officially localized to English by Edia 30 years later for the Switch! Hard to believe! I know their script quality is poor given the 1&2 port but still good to see.

Hey guys, I need your help. I have a PC Engine Duo in need of repairs. It has the usual sound problem, I have to turn the volume on the TV to max to hear anything. Also, the CD part won't read the games. The discs spin, but can't get read. The cartridge slot works perfect. Obviously, it's in need of capacitor replacement. Do you guys know of anyone in the Boston area who does repairs? I really appreciate any help you guys can offer, thanks.

Did you happen to buy that Duo-R off Ebay?

So I picked up a PC Engine Duo-R, but it didn't include the ac adapter. Do you guys know which one will work properly without causing any problems? And since it's a Japanese system, should I buy some sort of voltage converter? Thanks for the help guys.

I'm hoping to have a TG-16 cd attachment by this weekend. A friend of mine is selling me his. It's the cd attachment, docking bay, cd system card and hookups for $125. I've been keeping an eye on the PC Engine Duo-R on Ebay. But I would rather not import one from Japan.

Unfortunately, I do not have a cd add-on (yet).

I also have a SuperGrafx. Is it possible to mod that to play US games?

Hey guys, I need your help. I really want to pick up a converter to play Japanese HuCards on my TurboGrafx. Is one particular converter better than another? Also, can you use the converter in a TurboDuo? My last question, if you can use one in a TurboDuo, would it also work with the Arcade Card Duo? I would really appreciate any help you guys can offer me, thanks guys.

The ac adapter is the original Japanese version. The system was working perfect for a few months and then nothing. To avoid this happening again, should I buy some sort of adapter to use on a US outlet?

The unit will not power on at all. I have the tool to take the system apart and discovered the fuse is blown. It's a regular glass fuse and half of it is pretty black. My question is, should I attempt to fix it myself? Are there tech guys in this forum that do that kind of work? I just joined the forum yesterday, so I'm not familiar with everybody yet. Thanks guys.

My attention is now on collecting games. I just picked up Street Fighter II Dash for the PCE. It's amazing how well it holds up against the other console versions. The TurboGrafx was my very first console and still my favorite. I absolutely love reading about all the different NEC consoles.

Hey guys, new to the website. I've heard a lot of good things and I really wanted to join. I've been a gamer for 20+ years, but only recently started collecting. So my collection is very small. I've been focused on collecting systems, but now I need to grow the game collection. I have a TurboGrafx and a SuperGrafx. So I guess that's it about me, look forward to talking to you guys. Thanks
