I did Warhammer for maybe a year or two because I knew some guys that were into it. I eventually got sick of the incessant bloodthirsty vibe of the thing. Also, while we didn't have Gamergate back in the 90s we had basically the same dudes and you get tired of them.

Warhammer's rules have gotten progressively more busted.  It's skewed to promote you having to buy more shit .   They tweak points/units/army rules so every edition requires 400$+ in shit you need to buy to not suck.

I totally disagree with Zippy the Pinhead in the youtube video who started programming the year I was born that Saber Riders is a piece of shit. Those screenshots are fucking badass. I watched his god-awful interview and I would have fired his ass if I were the assistant manager of an auto parts store. I don't know who he is or what he programmed, or why its important. I don't care what cred he had what legendary l33t status he has in the world of Cobal, Punch-Card computing, or Babbage's Dream Come True. I don't care if he has a corvette and I haven't seen his art, been influenced by his work, or even know the fucking relevance of who he is, but if it's anything like his attitude, then you can garun-fucking-tee that I would hire 3 programmers out of community college to wipe their ass with his CV and do the design if he didn't communicate with me in 4 months.

I know PC Engine time operates in an alternate time-universe where all of the programmers give their blood sweat and tears to their projects, consume mostly popcorn and top ramen, sacrifice time with their families, develop massive neurosis, and live off of redbull and the souls of baby squirrels.

I have seen every episode of TNG 2-4 times.

If you want a thrilling, gripping story arc DS9 is the way to go. Give it time , it builds and I think the character development is most in depth. All star treks are on Netflix. Well in U.K. they are.

I have seen every episode of DS9 twice. I really like it, and will get into that in subsequent posts.  Zeta is totally right: there's no fucking ship other than the Defiant (i mean come on... its a shuttlecraft on steroids), the character development is trash in the first two seasons, the racism is everywhere and there is also an amount of religious Zealotry with half of the characters... Jean Luc Picard turned his back on Miles O'Brien twice in one episode of TNG because of his Cardassian hatred... to show the difference between the two series. In the later episodes... "The Magnificent Ferengi" comes to mind... Iggy Pop makes an appearance as a Vorta. The whole series is based on conflict in an occupied space station and a war between the Bajorans and Cardassians. I know a lot of ppl hate Quark's bar episodes, but "Who Mourns for Morn" was also a great, wacky offbeat episode. I guess it's the unconventional lack and subsequent character development from TNG that got me into it. Also the rigidity of Starfleet protocol being absent until season 4 made it pretty chaotic. Anyway, I wouldn't be so hasty to dismiss DS9. It's unconventional, and gets better until the last season. The fact that they packed the war into two episodes was mind-boggling. They could have had a full season on all of that shit.

Tale Spin has already gotten hours of play on my PCE, and even though there is a lot of mirth surrounding it, I've always enjoyed and wanted it! I remember playing it for the first time when I was in 3rd grade or so... my neighbor down the block was an expert on the Kid Cloudkicker levels and could get all of the powerups every time. I've already gotten incredibly close to beating it, if it weren't for the wrench-throwing lions, that crazy underwater level and the fact that baloo is one of the least-agile characters since ET on the 2600. It adds to the challenge!

Also, I love the color pallette!

Let's try this:

I think you may need to re-do the caps. A few of them look like they are installed incorrectly. CC102 looks like it's overlapping, and you're going to have to remove that blob of polyurethane glue and swap out those two silver 100uf caps right next to CC501, to start. Be careful with those two; the traces like to lift up so go slow when you're removing the glue.

If you have a system that has been fixed by this seller, please post your pics of the inside to this thread. That is the main intention of this post. To show what a trainwreck his work is. 

As far as I know, doujindance is NOT a member of our community.

Far be it from me to talk shit about a modder, because I don't offer my services very often, and certainly not commercially, but I have received several systems from this seller, doujindance, over the years. The first was in 2009, a unit purchased on eBay for $250-$270 in the days of the $75 Duo. I had just bought a broken Duo from another popular (and honest) seller, and was looking to fix it. I did, with the help of the amazing community here. I emailed doujindance when I recieved one of their units, and they never responded to my emails on eBay.

It had a spiders nest of wires running to 3 different breadboards, all of which were cobbled together and had no apparent interconnection, other than he ran out of room on the first board. I'm SURE that he understood how the F^$&(#@ thing was wired, but without any sort of reference it was like being in limbo, blindfolded, watching MacGyver, with a coathanger and chewing gum... Except it looked like he applied the gum directly over one of the chips.

Fast-Forward to 7 years later. Recently, about 5 months ago, a forum member (who will remain anonymous unless he want's to share) contacted me in a PCE chatroom and sent me internal photos of his unit. I was appalled. It was packed to the brim inside, and had these three boards, all encased in bubble wrap, floating around the system. Nothing made sense. It was a nightmare. It didn't work. We couldn't figure it out in chat. From the photos, the DIN was the only thing wired correctly.

Today I hit my limit. Voultar recently shared this photo with me, a Duo-R or RX on a system received in 2016. this may not seem like Blasphemy, but I would never work on this unit:

This is probably the best I've seen. Keep in mind, this is 10 years later, and they've barely improved, other than being "tidier" inside. With a feedback rating of over 1100, I have seen close to a hundred Duos offered by this seller and we can only imagine they all look the same or much, much worse. They have been a member on eBay since 2007:

The most recent Duo sold was for $449 plus shipping.


PLEASE POST PHOTOS of the internals of your unit, and share your stories. I will not touch this seller's work with a 20-foot pole. I just have sent them back (eating the shipping) and apologized to the user, saying that I have no freaking clue how the units are wired, and that they should send them back to the seller.
