it's crazy how expensive these have gotten. I used to have the two hawaii ones in the late 90s and I was like... what's the point? and traded them for peanuts

Yes. I know they are pretty expensive.
I never pay that amount for a slideshow but i think it's a fair prize according the offers i receive on eBay for them.
Anyway i ask leds money here and i'm open to trades.
