Outstanding work, Elmer! Those character portraits look great! The one thing that bothers me is that on the title card, the part that says "The Legend of" doesn't quite match the part that says "Xanadu II." There's a bit of an art style clash. I think it's because of one having a black outline and the other not having one. That's just a minor nitpick, though.

Well, shit. NightWolve has finally resorted to Scorched Earth tactics. He has become so hellbent on destroying XSeed, that he now doesn't care if he hurts Falcom in the process.

I have never known where to stand on the whole NightWolve Vs. XSeed drama. I enjoy XSeed's releases, and am extremely happy that Falcom's work is finally starting to get some recognition in the West, but I was concerned about whether NW had indeed been screwed over. It's a real "he said/they said" issue. Still, my desire to stay on good terms with NW has until now allowed me to overlook his strange behavior.

However, after this...I'm sorry, NightWolve, but you are certifiably insane. You have lost all rationality on this issue. You are so obsessed with winning this battle that you don't care about anyone else who happens to get hurt in the process. I am TRULY sorry that you feel you got screwed over in this whole affair, but a wrong isn't fixed by committing fifty wrongs of your own.

Ah, that's why the text seemed familiar! I didn't realize it came from the manual. That would explain why the text is so messed up. I remember reading that manual for the first time, and by the time they called the town of Minea "Esteria", which is supposed to be the name of the island nation after Ys vanished, (another thing to fix in the insert text, by the way ), I was like, "What the fuck is this shit!?"

Yes, it's true. I'm planning on making my own version of Tower of Druaga. It will be based on the arcade version, but will feature new levels and treasure solutions.



Since there was a port of the original game to the PC Engine, I'm assuming that it will be alright to have this thread here.



Now, it will be a while before there's anything playable, this first post is more of a letter of intent, really, but I am currently learning how to program with SDL graphics in C++ and this will (hopefully) be my first full game with it.

So far, all I've programmed is seen in that screenshot above, but I am learning quickly and hope to have something more exciting to show you in the near future.

Last I heard you guys went to make a offer to buy the TZD domain, and they made a counter offer without even informing you they are involved in a major lawsuit for fraud. Need I say more? On BT, yeah, those reviews were fucking lame bullshit. If you strip away the guys scene fame for a min and simply judge the reviews for what they are, they are garbage that read off like a old codder from Gamepro wrote them, during his lunch break.

And Mindrec in general, well lol there buddy. So, where are your Contra and Raiden clones for Turbo Cd now ehh? Oh wait, Xbox live instead? One day you say??? Yeah, well, go fucking figure. Honestly, you should be glad. The TG and PCE had such a good back library of titles as is, its not like you need more average or subpar Amiga looking trash titles added to it. When someone makes mock shots of a game, you can usually tell they are mock shots, and the shit may never get released, especially when you have seen the guys previous efforts. And Dean. Well, the simple fact of the matter is Dean was fucking up, taking peoples money, focusing an his personal life and ignoring his customers. It was really close... there was a definite quality comparison between the submissions of Arjak and TwistedMind. However, in the end, I made the choice based on overall spirit of the submission. Thus, the second-place winner is:
