So a local movie prop house got this in and me being "Max Collectard" I just had to grab it. This is the NEC Turbo Express replica prop used in the movie The Enemy of the State.



This unit would have been used in most of the action scenes. I believe someone in Europe owns the actual working unit that actually turned on in the movie. This unit came with a bunch of Zavitz's(Jason Lee) PCMCIA cards as well. Thought you might all get a kick out of this. Enjoy! Sorry for the crappy quality of the pics. [PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / A sad end to a possible cool score.]

So recently a fan of my youtube channel reached out to me and stated that he had some promo & possible prototype games he had for over 15 years. Said he got em in a Turbo game lot years ago. He never got into the Turbo but had these laying around this whole time and finally wanted someone to check em out to see whats on em and maybe buy em. He sent me pictures and everything matched up. (pics below)

Met up with the dude so we could test em out. Brought my duo with me and a small lcd screen with inputs. Unfortunately he hadn't taken care of em too well. Shadow of the Beast and Shape Shifter had small scratches on the data side of the disks so both games would not load up at all. Buster bros and Forgotten worlds had small scratches on the bottom but no scratches to the data part. Kinda sad that we will never know what was on the Shadow and Shape discs. Would have loved to see how these differed if any to the finished products.

As per the request of a few peeps, here are some pics of the Korean Vistar 16. If anyone knows Korean, can you please translate the words under the power switch? An interesting thing I noted is that the power switch has 2 settings you can switch it to unlike the regular US Turbo. (see picture # 3)

[PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / Just picked up another Turbo Duo/Grafx lot.]

Just got back from picking this up today. Tested the system out and is running like a champ. Paid $400. Hope that wasnt too bad of a price. Picked it up off of Craigslist. The guy was really cool and said he's an engineer and that he worked at a company that made circuit and protoype boards. He had some friends in the production department and had them make some converter boards. They never finished em and he threw em in.  Pics are below. Anyone know if they can finish these? I already have a Duo so I'll probably be selling it and also any of the duplicate games to recoupe some of that money back. Maybe sell these joysticks too. Anyone know why they made a Flight stick for the Turbo? For Falcon?

Also is anyone going to The Classic Gaming Expo this weekend? Ill be there.

Were later Turbo Technologies releases like Magical Chase released without a case with Only the game and manual in box?

[Console Repair/Mod Center / White PC engine and US Turbo CD base]

The RF on my white pc engine is crapping out.(was already crappy from the start) While bored the other night I began to compare the pc-engine to the turbo grafx and noticed they the back parts are identical. I think even the pins are the same from what I can tell. I have a cd base and decided to slide the PC engine in there to see if they had the same fit. It slid all the way back but not completely because the pc engine has 2 small little pegs.  Now if I brok these 2 small plastic pegs, and it slid all the way in, would the Turbo CD base work as an av out for the PC engine?
