I've been having problems with postimage on and off since yesterday and I wasn't able to see the image in Keith Courage's post either but after changing the link from https://postimg.cc/qN0JrWD8 to https://postimg.cc/qN0JrWD8 (which in turn gets redirected to https://postimg.cc/qN0JrWD8) I was able to see it. Either of the last 2 links work for me but the first, the original, results in server not found.

The place where I have my Duo set up is pretty much the only place I have room for a CRT stand but, unfortunately, the room is not air conditioned and doesn't have any outlet by a window for a window unit, so for the past 2 weeks I've been trying to get in as much gaming as possible while I still can. Last night was the first time this year that it was too hot to play and I wasn't able to resume my game of Rainbow Islands. Gave this one a break a while ago because I tried and tried but couldn't beat the level 5 boss but now I'm on level 8 or 9! Hopefully it cools down for a bit soon or I am able to figure something else out for my setup... :/

Or
CyberCore?
Or
Cyber Core?

Fun game, but I want to know what folks think the koolest branding would be.

And what is the *intended* and "official" way to refer to it?

Quick!
heh, I wondered about that the last few times I posted about the game and think I used something different in each post.

Just had a look at the cover art and it looks like it's slightly different for TG16 vs PCE as the TG16 release is "Cyber-Core" and the PCE release is "Cyber Core" or "Cyber core". I think I prefer "Cyber-Core".

Looks like arcade mode makes the game a bit easier, beat this twice today in regular mode and got lower scores; this one was fairly close to my previous though:

Thanks! I'll probably give this one a few more tries too. :]

So close, 751500; 1cc. I don't know if it matters for this thread but I did this in the arcade mode.

I revisited this the other day after I got the new BD, it's not a great movie but it's fun and the first 3000 BDs come with a cool lenticular cover similar to the original VHS release:

Lots of Nintendo stuff for me in the past month or so:

IMG

Bought a used pair of OEM red nunchucks instead of a brand new one so I could swap out the buttons and stick with my black one and, despite being disappointed that you can't just unplug the cord from the board and swap that too, I'm pretty happy with the result.

IMG

Also, 3 new BDs from Code Red! Did some caps for another forum from these discs and you can check them out here if interested: Family Honor, Necromancy, Mardi Gras Massacre.

(no idea why this image got rotated after I uploaded it...)

Not the highest score but more than 2x my previous high score, so I thought I'd post it since the game isn't going to remember it for me:

Hit some garage sales over the weekend and also got a few things in the mail recently:

The one in the generic case is Mario Kart Double Dash and Alone in the Dark 3 completes my set of big boxed Alone in the Dark games for PC! J.B. Harold Murder Club never really had much appeal for me but after I started getting back into old DOS games it seemed like a must have.

A while ago I was hoping that there was a Valkyrie action figure but the best I could find was this posable, mostly snap together model. I really like it even though I don't have the skill or supplies to make it look proper.

IMG

Comes with some alternate parts, including a blank face and different eye decals:

edit: I see now that this appears to be the same model you were also considering, if it is then it will not look like the picture in the auction after you put it together unless you paint it; the Amazon listing I bought mine from had a picture that looked the same as the one in your link.

My friend came over to bottle our last few brews and gave me this:

Said that after maybe 30 minutes the console would lock up and then beep and/or flash an LED several times and that if I can make it work again then I'll have myself a PS3. No idea if I'll be able to get it working again but I look forward to at the very least trying to trigger the error with GTA IV so I can hopefully maybe see what the problem is. Haven't played GTA since Vice City. :D

nice.  thats pretty cool, any fun?
I haven't played it that much since I got it but at first glance it is kind of disappointing compared to the other games. Everything feels cramped because of the tiny gameboy screen instead of wide open and Keen is somewhat hard to control. Once you get used to this there is also the fact that the one level I've played so far is a confusing mess, even with the arrows that tell you where to go it still usually isn't obvious where, exactly you're supposed to go or what you're supposed to do. The level also feels like it goes on for way too long.
There are also a couple of differences with the other games in this one, in the original games you had a jump and a pogo button and to fire you'd hit them both at once but in this one you get a jump and a fire button and to pogo you hit down and jump. I kind of like this compared to the originals. Another difference, although minor, is that you can't freely roam the world map, the arrows just take you on a predefined path between levels.

Was at Chiller Theatre today (NJ horror con) and randomly picked up a 1992 EGM Video Game Buyer's Guide since it was just $5 and had Bonk on the cover as well as 6 fridge magnets made with images from arcade marquees. I always buy some magnets from the guy that was selling them but I think he outdid himself with the new expansion of his video game line!

Picked up a bunch of PC games and strategy guides recently with a few more on the way. Got that Alone in the Dark 4 for $2.68 with shipping and it was sealed with the promo flashlight still inside! While I don't remember liking the game much on Dreamcast I love the first one on PC and decided to give it another try.
Sadly I can't get the 2 Windows 95 (Rocket Jockey and Interstate 76) games to work well because none of the VM software I've used does it quite right and when I set up Windows 95, 98, or ME on my oldest computer it always crashes after installing the video driver even though the card and driver should be fully compatible. That 7th Guest guide will have to wait until I get another copy of the game too because I went to rip my old CDs so that they would play better in DOSBox and one of them can't be fully read. Same with one of the Interstate 76 CDs... :/

Beat Bonk's Adventure today. I somehow managed to get myself killed as I hit King Drool for the last time:

but it didn't seem to matter:

I beat Bonk's Revenge/PC Genjin 2 today but I'm not sure if it counts as I wound up getting 54 smiley faces in the first level and it warped me past the second level. Played the PCE version.

Couldn't resist a quick run through New Adventure Island after I saw this thread! :]
Played the PCE version but I've beaten both and the only difference I've ever noticed is the title screen.

I got this one, it's probably the same thing as the link mickcris posted but just in an enclosure. Thought for sure this wasn't going to work but so far so good and it is just about time to play with it some more. :]
