Quote from: NeoTurfMastaBeen working on this off and on for about a year now and I think its pretty much finished. Its basically a new TurboBooster + or Tennokoe Bank system for PCE and TG systems. TurboBoosters and Tennokoe Banks were used as a memory card for games that supported this feature. High scores, levels, etc were saved. There is a list of games that support it somewhere.
The original TB+ and Tennokoe used 2k of battery backed up SRAM. Similar to Neo, but it required a custom Hudson chip for it to work. Well, I found a source for these and thought I'd make a new version. All NOS chips, nothing is sacced to make this project.
Mine has the standard AV out, and it also has the 9pin DIN for RGB out. This pic doesnt show it, but I wired up broken's RGB amp and wired it to Omega RGB pinout.
It also has 16 separate banks of 2k FRAM, so no battery is needed. The switch on the side is a 16 position rotary switch. So that's 16 memory cards in one.
I'll be working with Todd on getting an optional plug in RGB amp for these so those who dont want the standard AV can plug his board in and have it wired for Omega RGB out. Then you can buy Quan's AV cables. Simple huh?
Theres a few more tweaks to the PCB, but this is basically what it will look like. Todd is trying to find a source for the connector, but until then I have this weird solution that works well, its just a pain to put together. I also will probably have a laser cut top and bottom for these at one point as well.
It may not be done this year, but if anything maybe Jan-Feb. The initial run will probably be around 25, but if there is enough interest I could make more. Probably a price around $50, that's what I'm hoping for.
Quote from: brokenAs Turf mentioned, I will be redesigned a plug in RGB board for his BoostMasta. Depending on what the final version of his board looks like, I might also incorporate a component video section as well. That way via the 9 pin mini din you can have either RGB or component video using Quan's Omega Scart RGB and Component video cables.I thought this looks pretty promising
edit: And yes, I am helping him track down a better source for 69 pin connectors. We have found one, but the samples they sent us weren't deep enough to plug into a PCE.
I working on another source for them.
Quote from: sellerWell I got my first PCE from a reputable member on here about 2 months ago. After spending quite a bit of time playing the games I determined the PCE just isnt for me. So I would like to pass it along to someone who will get some good use out of it.
The Duo has been recapped, and appears to have a new laser. The system plays flawlessly and I havent had any problems out of it.
The Duo does have a small crack in the buttom of the back right hand corner. The plastic is still in tact and is not loose. The only time you can see it is if you flip the console over and stare at the corners. This is how it was before I got it.
The lot includes:
PCEngine Duo with OEM Power Adapter and Composite cable.
1x Controller
1x Turbo Everdrive
6x HuCard Games
Alien Crush
Shubibinman
Cyber Cross
Majin Eiyu Wataru (Keith Courage)
Bikkuriman World (Wonder Boy)
Bonks Adventure 3
2x CD Games
Ys 1 & 2
Pomping World
I prefer to sell the whole lot at once. But may separate. I am asking $300 shipped in the US. This is actually less than I have in everything here.
QuoteDude, you just got your Turbo Everdrive like 2 weeks ago. What happened? Did you try the Soldier series, Gate of Thunder, Nexzr and all?
QuoteLol I'll buy it back. PM incoming.
Quote from: sellerYea, its a great system. Especially if your into shmups ( which I suck at, lol ). Other than the Ys games, I just dont really find myself 'enjoying' them. And rather having it sit here collecting dust, I thought it would be best to pass it along to someone who would get some use out of it.While I admirer the fact the seller doesn't want to keep a system he won't use, how can you decide in 2 months a system isn't for you? I've had my Everdrive for a few months and have barely begun to explore the library of games I have.
QuoteWhat the hell are these for?Too funny!
Are they supposed to work with something from Amstrad?

QuoteRik Mayall, an irrepressible British comedy legend who was an equal master of brutally intense physical comedy and wry class satire, died at the tragically young age of 56 today of unspecified causes. An enormously influential performer across the pond, Mayall's humor often seemed to play to the lowest common denominator but belied a worldly view of his home country's social dynamics. To Americans, he's probably known best as the star of cult comedy Drop Dead Fred, but there's so much of Mayall worth celebrating today. If you watched the Young Ones, Bottom, Blackadder or Filthy, Rich & Catflap, you're bummed at the moment!
Quotejust shy of mint-perfect gamer's copyAnd was kind of surprised. When I use "gamer" in a sales thread it means bad condition but playable. Or for manuals it's taped together, water damaged, ripped, etc but it's usuable.
