Sorry for the long wait on this. My friend was finally able to drop the game off to me. We played it on his Express for while. I have to admit I really suck at these games. I have all three adventure island's for the nes and i'm not very good at them either. Graphics and sound are very good. Especially the animated opening sequence and the shadows that appear transparent.

Well game arrived at HercTNT's house today. I hope he tries to at least play it before he gives it to prof... I'm sure every person who entered would be pretty upset otherwise, as i'm very sure everyone else that entered actually wanted this game. Not sure why he would enter a contest where he didn't want the game or tried to win it for someone not in the raffle?... All i ask of Herc is to give it a try, it is a really fun game!

I do not personally have the game. It was intentionally sent to a friends house due to local problems with my postal service. I have called him and he has confirmed the game arrived. he will try to get it to me as soon as possible.

Esteban, love you, but you could not be more wrong. My problem is not with waiting. I honestly never expected to win this raffle as I entered in humorous protest over the way Cjames treated the Prof. He knows I spoke my two cents about him in a previous thread so he can't be to happy with me to begin with. When I found out I won, I admit I looked at it as an opportunity to keep his word on the raffle. I don't trust him and reacted out of lack of trust. I should not have done so the way I did I admit. And I did Pm him with an apology for doing so. I no longer want the game. I was gonna give it to the professor to do as he would anyhow and he declined. Please give the game to the next person on the list.

I would like to point out that Prof read my post and told me I was in the wrong. I understand I should have sent Cjames another pm before I made a remark. The misunderstanding was I assumed that because he publicly stated he was gonna ship on Monday, that I could atleast expect some kind of correspondence from Cjames. I did not get it and reacted. Thats my fault. Prof let me know I should have at least pm'ed him first and asked for info before posted.

I'm a huge fan of scott bakula from quantum leap. He's a big reason I liked enterprise. Like Zeta said, I could not sit through ds9 or voyager and enterprise may not have been perfect, but it was decent.

When anyone resorts to the lowest of personal attacks, especially involving someones family, it speaks more to the quality of that person than the point they think they are trying to make. People who do this are used to getting their way and pushing others around. Its not "getting a little carried away", it's who they really are. Cjames bit off more than he could chew and is paying the price. Professor is a good friend and I appreciate the support you all have given on this matter. Obviously he does not need my cheerleading, but in my opinion Cjames was trying to take advantage of the tobias situation to benefit himself and was more than willing to step on another man and his family to do so. Knowing the Professor as I do I just wanted to throw in my two cents.

I did not mean that as a slight, I just meant that everyone might have different setups. I just know that the rgb mod i have, combined with the sync stripper and the gbs, work damn near flawless. Zeta mentioned the occasional tear in the screen. I have seen that from time to time on my setup as well but its very rare.

I have a GBS-8200 hooked up to a Pcengine Duo-r and have no issues with it. I had to build a sync stripper to stabalize the picture. Professorprofessorson helped me simplify  the circuit. Unlike what others are reporting, I found the picture to be vibrant and look great. Its possible success may depend on the type of rgb mod done. Some cables have sync strippers and amps built into them. If your duo is already amped, it could screw up the signal. Also, the GbS-8200 really needs a power supply that delivers at least 2 amps to operate correctly. they can be finicky and any less than 2amps might cause issue.

I recently had Turbokon install a RGB to Component board in my Tennokoe Bank 2. The Tennokoe Bank 2 is a relatively cheap battery backup unit for the PC-Engine that is also easily modded to fit U.S. Turbo's.  The edition of Turbokon's RGB to Component video board to the Tennokoe Bank 2 adds a ton of value allowing you to hook your Turbo up to modern tv's with near RGB quality.  Those of you who really want to use your Turbo, or possibly other retro game system, on your tv can't go wrong with this mod. Those of you on the fence in regards to modding your system past stock should really get a Tennokoe Bank 2 and have it modded. You get all the benefit Of higher visual quality and battery backup while keeping your Turbografx or PC-Engine stock. Turbokon can be contacted in these boards, or at his website here. You will also find pictures of his mod and the quality it represents.

Ebay rules allow for shipping within 30 days.  Bernie met that standard, and "will usually ship within 3 business days" does not mean "will always ship...", so hugo has no legitimate claim for relief.  Sure it woulda been nice had Bernie shipped immediately, but shit happens.  Get over it and be happy that you got the Turbob and dock for relatively cheap.

My only beef with VM for classic gaming is that some games use the CPU clock rather than system timer, so a game that plays correctly @ 25 MHz will have a teensy weensy bit of extra challenge @ 4,000 MHz.

  So true. Its bad enough i have to use a cpu throttle program on my k6-3 450 as it is. Warcraft 2 is just one of the games that runs to fast.

I was trying to help a friend of mine get into dos gaming. He saw my project computer and wanted the same thing, but without having to build the machine himself. I suggested vmware, not because i thought it was better, because he did not have a dos machine.  So we set it up. It did not take long for him to realize that alot of games i could run, he could not. The games that did run, did not sound good at all. I'm not trying to discredit anyone. I can only tell you,  I have a windows 98 dos machine, and I have used vmware. Is it true you can play games on vmware yes, do they compete with proper hardware, NO!

I currently own an Amd k6-3 450 on a dfi super socket motherboard, 256mb of ram, awe32 sound card, voodoo3 3000 agp, and 8gb disk on module ssd.

I have to thank the professor for helping me on this one. I have setup plenty of dos and early windows machines, but there is always something to learn. the voodoo 3 is one of the few cards i have used that will render damn near every dos game correctly. The DFi motherboard he provided me has been rock solid as well, no problems so far.
I chose the awe32 due to is hardware processing. It may not be as good as the awe64 or vortex, but on older machines it needs less cpu power.
Some of you might laugh at the idea of using such a small hard drive. Honestly, I have windows 98se and about 40 games installed with plenty of room to spare. The DOM is pricey, but extremely fast, and very reliable as there is not much to break down on it.
Having the right hardware means everything, way to many variables in games to half ass it. I tried that to many times with generic sound cards, or good enough vid cards. always came back to bite me.
wanna thank the Professor for the help on my system, it would not be what it is today otherwise.

VestCunt, I really don't know enough of the storino situation to have a dog in that fight in all fairness. Forgive me as I see some details a little differently. In regards to X-ray, you make it sound as if the whole community shut the guy down the instant his past was exposed. This was not the case. Only three or 4 of us, Professor leading the charge, spoke up in the beginning. The first mistake X-ray made was abusing a community member in regards to a raffle. He was not vilified for doing so by the majority of the community as they wanted his freebie. Only when faced with the possibility of being linked to a racist bigot did people react. Selective morality. As for Nulltard, he is delusional if he thinks this situation is the same as when i first spoke with him but in reverse. This community ran some bad people out of town for a reason. Nulltard picking me out of a crowd with his white knighting is laughable at best. My problem comes from what I perceive as unbalanced response to peoples behavior. Its not like i'm saying that storino is in the right. In fact, I'm pretty sure I never said that. My tv stick has usb as I stated.  Android games relay way more heavily on gpu than cpu. I have a quad core mobile device called the Iben L1. Its cpu ony runs at 1.1ghz. However, it has an 8 core powervr Gpu. I can run anything the ouya can. That quad core box i linked can run anything the ouya can. Especially with 2gb of ram. Which, is double the amount of ram btw. The Ouya is quad core and a bit more powerful than the 50-60 TV sticks. You can also connect USB devices to it, I'd rather have the Ouya at the same price point.

Yes, I have one of those crazy little tv sticks and guess what? you can put usb devices into it as well. Its called an otg port. Alot of devices have them, nothing special.
