10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

Quote from: Digi.k on 04/15/2018, 11:25 AMJust picked these up today. There was another retro gaming fair here in central London but the prices have shot up >.>

Golden Axe has a shitty cover in Japan.  As a Saturn fan I was thinking "I never heard of this Bull game," until I figured it out.  U.S. cover is much much better.

Quote from: Digi.k on 04/14/2018, 03:46 AMNot much info except more than 15 Sega AGES games coming to switch
IMG
If they started with the same Sega Ages collection from the Saturn, then I would double dip.

What Sega really needs to start doing is re-releasing Saturn games.  Maybe with some updates graphics, maybe not, but there are too many gems too few people have played.

Quote from: TheClash603 on 07/02/2017, 01:16 PMAs a big baseball fan and a lover of underrated NJ food (boardwalk cheese steak > Philly cheese steak), I just spent 20 minutes Google searching Pals.  These are the types of establishments that I love and even though I never went to this place, I am sad to see it gone.

Your game may be a tear jerker.

But then the hilarity of trying to build a mega mall in 2017 shows up, just in time to lighten up the mood.
Oh, absolutely.

:)

My goal is to produce the most authentic *New Jersey* VR experience ever brought to market.

Good news! I just got funding for the project!

It was an offer I couldn't refuse.
Are you the reason all the beaches in Jersey were closed?  If so, I respect the better use of tax dollars.  I'd rather a virtual beach experience than the real thing anyway, complete with barren wasteland beaches and potential Christie sightings.

Quote from: OldRover on 06/05/2017, 11:00 PMOK so here's the deal on Lucretia... since the code is already at 100% and just requires sprites, Sarumaru is going to work on those as soon as the PCE version of Henshin Engine comes to a close. It will take approximately one month to complete. In the interim, I will be finishing off the PC conversion of Henshin Engine. Thus, Lucretia and the PC build of Henshin Engine will be finished at roughly the same time, approximately one month after PCE HE goes off to the pressing house. From there, Lucretia goes off to press and the source code to the PC build of HE goes off to the various other developers who will be converting the game to other platforms.

There will also be a PC build of Lucretia, using the same game engine as the PC build of Henshin Engine. ERGE, as it's called, is a very flexible game engine built in-house at Eponasoft over the past few years and can accommodate a wide variety of game systems. It will likely be used for all future PC conversions of Saru Studio titles, including Oni Island and Gods Of Lightning. Speaking of Gods Of Lightning...

Had to make my own insert for the 20 in 1 master system cart. Apparently it came bundle with the master system 3 in brazil.
The game selection screen is kinda werid. its just game 1 through 20, there are no titles, you choose your game and from there you have one minute to get any many points as you can, depending on what game you play. If you meet the required score within the minute, you continue playing, if you dont meet the required score, you are taking back to the game menu. Very obscure game. im thinking to do a review on it since theres not much info at all about this game.
What are the 20 games?  I'd love to give this a try, where did you pick it up?

Yeah, that's an interesting find, one with holding a "baby shark..." :/  It's hard to tell, but it seems like water is streaming down from the mouth. Let's assume it's one of those plastic toys and not actually the real thing ? I think I used to have one as a kid.
I thought he same thing: rubber shark and water pouring out of mouth.

Instead of covering up the penis with one of those Japan mandatory fuzzy box things to allow for international sale, they photoshoped a fake shark over it.

I love you guys, sorry to be such a stranger, busy as hell with even very little time to enjoy me a glass of red!!!

On a side note, since the die line is done which was a good portion of the cost i will be doing a slick repro next of MC :) hope to get the cost down even more.
