There is a large group of people in this country who feel anyone who looks like them is being unfairly targeted for scorn or worse. And so they're starting a movement to declare to the world that their lives should matter as much as everyone else's.

I'm talking, of course, about clowns.

There's been a surprising uptick in creepy clowns (or at least an uptick in the media reporting on creepy clowns), and some people are very nervous about seeing clowns in public. This got so bad that President Obama's press secretary was asked about it

Well, some professional clowns have had enough and are starting, for real, Clown Lives Matter.

Yes, Black Lives Matter spawned kind of a surprising bandwagon for basically every group and every person to pick something else that matters and proudly declare it too.

One professional clown got "Clown Lives Matter" going on his Facebook page, saying in one post, "Us actors need to be heard! I'm not your enemy! I'm an actor!"

There is going to be a "Clown Lives Matter" peace walk in Tucson next week and no less than Stephen King is telling people to calm down:

[Console Repair/Mod Center / Fantasy Mod: How feasible?]

Hey All, been lurking over the past few days so I am definitely NOT gone!  3rd and last baby is a month away so things have be super busy for me.   

Anyway, I've been thinking (more like obsessing) about this mod for a while now and wanted everyone's input on the feasibility of it.

I will call it the "Turbo Express XL":  A LARGE form factor TE in the exact same style as the regular TE, but with a Large Screen and Six Button Layout.  I wish I could draw a mock-up, but perhaps people with skills could take a shot.

Main Parts Needed:

PC Engine Core Guts
Region Switch Board
PC Engine 6 Button Controller
Internal Speaker
Large Screen
Power Supply or LIPO Battery

A Custom 3D-Printed Shell and parts to fit all the above. Custom Screen Cover and Logo.

Extra "Nice to Have" Features:  Output to Component/S-Video/AV/RGB, Extra Port for 2-Player, CD Port.


Thoughts?  Is this Possible? Cool?  Stupid waste of time?  All opinions welcomed.

Well, my life has undergone many changes where to start!

1.  Got a job promotion to a new location so I had to uproot my family and move to Fairfield, CA.
2.  My daughter Gracie was born! Yes, ole MG never shoots blanks!
3.  Wife is pregnant again (see above).
4.  Thanks to TheSteve, I finally got a repaired CD-Rom back and it works great! (Thanks Steve!)

If all goes well, I will "finally" be able to buy my house next year.  Still Obeying and getting caught up on all the threads and new members!

Anyway, I will make it a point to stop in more often.  Been crazy crazy busy with the new job position and baby.

It is the year 2080, I doubt any of us are still around and most likely, our collections have long since been passed down to friends or family more than once (if not sold).

CD's and HuCards are a few years away from failing and there is no one left who knows how to repair failing hardware.  Emulation is still not good enough.

Will people still manage to Obey? Or have they moved on to things like V-World?

Is TG/PC-Engine still remembered?

Did someone ever come up with a nice repro of Magical Chase?  Dynastic Hero?

That the Bonk's Adventure and Bonk's Revenge manuals are different and exclusive to the GOT set as opposed to the manuals shipped with the HuCards? 

Meaning if you have these two manuals and they make references to "TurboChip" rather than "CD-ROM" (and are thicker than they are supposed to be), your set is incomplete?

[PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / I is Sad: A sparky home grown insert story]

So some of you remember me asking for a couple of sleeves with holes in them?  Thanks to Bernie in providing me some I can now reflect and tell the story of what happened.

So I put together my System Card 2.0 case using Sparky's AWESOME inserts.  I used the white hucard tray with the notches and a holed sleeve for this.

It looked beautiful.

Then I put it away in my TG-16 Case (where I have my TG-16/Turbo Booster Plus).

Well a few days before asking for the sleeves, I went into the case to grab my system card because I wanted to manage my saves on my Duo-R.

Well, when I opened the case, the back of the front insert was grafted and I mean GRAFTED onto my hucard sleeve.  As if the paper MELTED onto the sleeve!  I tried to sort of pull apart and ended up tearing the front insert that Sparky made me and completely ruined the sleeve that I had!

I don't know how the fuck that happened!!!...but I is Sad.
