I got in LCD for the mod. When I checked the video chip AMT630, it supported both composite and S-Video.  So I was wondering if it'd make mod a bit easier or if I'd end up needing 2 transistors to amplify both Chroma and Luma ?  If it can be easier, it may be worth going that way instead of the usual composite route. If not easier, I'll go composite route as it's hard to see difference between s-video and composite on a 3.5" LCD. 

Too bad 3.5" LCD with analog RGB is virtually nonexistent. That would have been very easy mod since there are RGB connector for the original LCD.

the only issue is those encoder chips would need the inputs enabled in software
you would need to edit their programming

wow, i just looked at mine, i have a few resistors marked wrong
i had R8,  R9 2K not 1K
switched R9 to 1K and the color got even better

also the bars are native to the system, solved by 2 caps

awhile i figured out a jailbar fix, but was waiting for further testing
the fix is placing a 22uf ceramic or tantalum cap from the HUc6260 pin 41 to ground, and another from pin 43 to ground.

its back at my place
the chroma drive transistors got damaged during the testing i had 8bit do on his end.
i replaced the transistors restoring color.
i bypassed R14 bumping luma up to 1.8V
this caused a slight loss of detail

the pots to make it adjustable are not here yet
