Well, I got banned from good ole Neogaf.com (as did a ton of others) due to a DF thread on Mario Kart 8 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=824680

Maybe because I'm an older gamer that came up from the get go, but IMHO DF is doing nothing  for the industry and gamers in general. People seem to be more concerned about FPS/refresh rates/resolution etc etc etc than actually enjoying the game. It amazes me that people are freaking out over a single frame, going as far as to call it jarring and even saying it ruins the experience... Granted some people may be able to see SOMETHING but I watched a ton of 60fps footage and haven't seen a damned thing. It drives people crazy esp when it's some cross platform title.

What are others thoughts, is it important to have something like this around, or is it just digital dick waving for the sake of it?

I do have a PC-Engine Print Booster + Illust booster for sale I could trade with. Though, it's a pretty rare add-on so I'm not sure if you would be interested in those.

i was looking into getting a pc engine, i have a tg16 and a turbo duo. i don't really wanna mod them or buy a converter so I'm gonna go with a pc engine, however I'm not sure which to get, theres so many versions. so i was curious what you all thought

White one looks the best IMHO, but that pesky Rf only, so you'll need to work around that

Core GFX II matches best with the Grey/Orange CDrom, the reg Core Gfx is the one that stands alone really.

This whole "girl gamer" movement is stupid IMHO, just play video games and shut up about it...I don't care what parts are between your legs. there are games with both male and female leads...which really shouldn't matter anyway. It's NOT reality.

No wonder there is a surge of people getting into retro gaming, it was just so much simpler.

No DLC
No season pass
No Online required
No store dependent pre-order bonus bullshit.

System can pump out damn nice visuals, it just needs more software...

Ubi delaying Rayman like they did and EA totally fucking them over didn't help them at the start, and on their own faults, they let the Wii die too quickly instead of doing a better transition. The pad is fine but they did fuck all to showcase as to why it was needed.

Both Nintendo and 3rd parties are to blame here, but the system itself, I love the damn thing, just need more stuff to play.

In the end there is plenty of Indie stuff coming and stuff like MKart8/Smash/Bayo2/X/FEvsSMT and so on will keep it worth having in the short term.

Agreed. Arcade Card Duo is the way to go... they pop up on eBay and Rakuten fairly often for pretty cheap if you keep your eyes open.  Or maybe someone here will hook you up.

If the magic eraser doesn't work, you could always paint it!  I can't find the picture, but someone once painted their Duo silver w/ a giant zonk on it.  Turned out reaaaallllly gooo.....bad.  Dammit, i can't lie.
