Love everything about it, especially the 80's style font! The 80s were my era. Even if I try to do something modern, it ends up looking 80s. I'm stuck there.
Quote from: geise on 01/31/2013, 12:07 PMOf course he wasn't a cave ninja. He was a cave pinmp! Oh wait that was Takahashi Meijin. Never mind.Funny you say that, here's something I drew 10 years ago:
Quote from: Psycho Arkhan on 03/07/2013, 12:33 AMAlso, because I want the post office to taste my wrath when I make them process all these boxes.Hell yeah, tell them to eat that shit. On the bright side, it seems Pay Pal still charges the same old price for printing shipping labels.
It's what they get for upping the priority rate.
Quote from: ParanoiaDragon on 03/04/2013, 07:59 PMI'd still be down with finishing that project if everyone else was committed. Some great work was put into that, shame to see it go to waste.Quote from: Bernie on 03/04/2013, 12:39 PMBrowsing through the blog, I found this.We did that several years ago, I think Tom had problems with memory being taken up by the map?? I don't quite remember, but Keranu & Fragmare both worked reworking the tiles & sprites, & I did several redbook versions of the tunes, but I never finished them all. I think the castle & town tunes were done, the dungeon still needed more, as did the title screen. The overworld theme was close to done. I had a couple of different versions of the battle theme, I'm still not sure which one I liked best, but I did want to have 2 versions. 1 for regular battles, & 1 for "boss" battles, & I think we were going to make the "bosses" look slightly different, since in the original, they're just repaints of other enemies. I'm sure there's another tune or 2 I'm forgetting. I was working on an evil town theme, where I mixed the music of the dungeon, with the instruments of the town theme. IIRC, Tom was going to try n' hack the game, so that when you wanted to talk or search, you didn't have to open up a menu each time! Oh, I think either Black Tiger or Frag (or both) reworked the title screen, so that it looked like the usual Dragon Quest logo, but said Dragon Warrior.QuoteAnd finally, not MM related, Dragon Warrior. I never publicly released this game. It's on CD. I'm gonna redo some the emulation code because this game was the very first NES2PCE project that I ever did, then release it publicly. I'll have to figure out BRAM syscard lib and make a save option too. This is the first time seeing this, and I surely hope it is still on the agenda. I would love this! We also tossed ideas around of seeing if we could make some limited cinemas, maybe taking snippets from the old Dragon Quest anime. That's all I can recall at the moment.
Quote from: guest on 01/28/2013, 08:29 PMThanks for the new signature ;)Quote from: kazekirifx on 01/28/2013, 07:35 PMIf you're gonna put "chase" in a PCE title, it had better be a sequel to Magical Chase. But Magical Chase is already the sequel to Magical Sauras Tour. Revival Chase is the sequel to Chase HQ, not to be confused with Psycho Chaser, which is actually a gaiden and spawned its own North American exclusive sequel: Psychosis.
Quote from: guest on 01/15/2013, 11:11 AMThey were paid by Sega to fuck it all up so the Genesis one looked better! YEAHIt is funny how lackluster all the Sega ports on the PCE turned out when the console has a good reputation for quality arcade conversions! Conspiracy!!!!1111~`3123!
Quote from: esteban on 01/13/2013, 11:55 PMKeranu, don't sell Cobra Command NES. I know you haven't beaten it yet (because it is one challenging game!).I may have bought that cart from a fellow Famiconsumer user... I can't remember what it was like exactly, but it was cool and unique. It's just such a pain pulling out the NES and constantly blowing on cartridges to get them to work!
Sell it when you beat it!![]()
Quote from: PCEngineHell on 01/12/2013, 09:43 AMWhoever has not played Cacoma Knight should snatch that sucker up. Awesome game.Haha, I remember I bought that game years back from your recommendation! It is a really cool and cute Qix-style game indeed! And it's 2-players, big plus!
Quote from: touko on 12/03/2012, 03:31 PMYes, but not a single coleco port, they are many things added, like a 5 players mode, skins, french/english version, bonuses, etc ...Would that brief shooter clip at the end of the video happen to be one of these bonuses?
Quote from: hizaygizirlz on 11/21/2012, 05:52 PMNo worries I was just curious. I get nervous about my packages being in post office limbo. I believe the order that I cared the most about was #57, but I can wait another week or two before the real crying begins.Yep, you're #57.
Quote from: termis on 11/24/2012, 08:12 AMI can't remember my order number... #13 seems to ring a bell in my head - or maybe that was Insanity, but anyway... I'm assuming that would've shipped by now then?#13 is correct!
Quote from: esteban on 11/16/2012, 08:05 PMHell yeah, back in the days when Jamma was on his PC Cocoron conquest!Quote from: Jammaniaclord on 11/12/2012, 09:52 PMWow! Both demo's were great, but the Supergrafx one was unreal!Jammmmmmmmmaniaclord! I haven't heard you since... magicegine forums? That was years ago.
Turbo2K for eva!
Quote from: kazekirifx on 11/06/2012, 03:16 AMThe best way to play it will always be on the Genesis. My thoughts exactly!
Quote from: SignOfZeta on 11/05/2012, 04:27 AMYeah, the point of this thread is to get the game dumped so everyone can see it (probably more for historical reasons, the game is probably not fun). Nobody here will be getting rich. Everyone would lose money.Hahaha, this is the best post in the entire Dino Force debacle! And I agree entirely!
I think it's much more sad that it takes a motherfucking hurricane to make you aware than there are people suffering in the world.
"Right now", fucking hell. People are starving to death by the tens of thousands EVERY DAY. If you're going to sell all your stuff and live like Ghandi for the rest of your live so you can help people then that's fine completely wonderful and I support it fully...but since you are writing on a video game forum right now I'm pretty sure you buy dumb shit quite often, just like the rest of us. If you're going to be sitting outside of Best Buy on Black Friday for a $100 laptop then please go fuck yourself. There is no difference between someone buying a $5000 game or a $5000 car or a $5000 gold plated dildo. Why single out this purchase instead of all the other shit people are spending money on every second of every day?
There are worse things that can be done with $50. It's not like we're spending the money on cigarettes or Assasin's Creed III, or Jersey Shore DVDs, and it's not like you have the slightest idea how much money we donate to other causes either.
Quote from: ParanoiaDragon on 11/03/2012, 04:21 PMYikes, spreading to the brain & spine does not sound good. I'm glad he's keeping up a good attitude. I truly believe that having a positive attitude can't make a difference on the body. As an example, my great grandfather lived to be 100, didn't have a single grey hair until his wife died, then he all of a sudden turned grey & I believe died within a year after her. He just didn't feel like hanging on anymore since losing his wife. The mind can really play a good part in the outcome of various ailments. Like Johsua, I don't know him, but I wish Tony & his family well, & pray for them!Similarly, there was a member on my mom's side of the family that was told by a doctor she'd die in her 40's, yet by staying active and consuming garlic daily, she lived until 100!
Quote from: NightWolve on 11/03/2012, 10:02 AMit might be used on a future Ys IV patch, that or perhaps I give the user an option to choose between the two during the patching phase. That would be rad if you could pull that off, I love the Ys I & II font!
Quote from: guest on 10/25/2012, 11:06 AMEven though I've never been a huge fan of Megaman (not that they're bad games though), I'd love to see a clone game, especially so if it's two player.Likewise. Hell I like the clones more than Megaman itself!
Quote from: LentFilms on 10/24/2012, 01:35 PMThank you.Wow, you got my family beat! I only have four brothers and I'm smack dab in the middle! Ain't it great when you have enough siblings to fill up a Turbo Tap?
In total I have 5 brothers including Lasagna and Tim who drew the Ys IV artwork and the fake Rondo of Blood cover. Tim also did the envelope art on the letter we sent to Retronauts and I drew the picture of Adol on the letter itself.
Quote from: guest on 10/24/2012, 11:11 AM...and Keranu is as useless as ever.Hey now, that's not true! I think I move more threads and handle simple requests around here more than the other mods! Minute things, but not useless!
Quote from: ccovell on 10/13/2012, 03:06 AMIs there any PCE love that's not overseas? I don't think I've seen a single piece of homebrew on PCE done by a Japanese person...I always wondered the same thing, not just for PCE but homebrew in general. I get the feeling that Japanese collectors frown upon anything that isn't official or canonical.
