Well the goal is just to poison the well.  You could set up a couple of auctions every day for a week and have different members of the forums use buyitnow as soon as it goes live.  Mix it up on seller and buyer accounts and make a stack of completed auctions indicating that the discs are worthless.  The discs don't even need to exchange hands.  It's a deterrent more than a solution but would definitely discourage people from thinking they are gonna make a quick buck.

I joined this month.  I had no idea these discs were here.  I only stumbled across the forum because I was googling for a place to buy a Duo.  Yeah I am one of those guys who decided to save up some cash for a pce after seeing YouTube videos.  I grew up seeing the Turno in stores but my dad was into Nintendo and that's all we had in that generation.   Really sucks people are taking advantage of this community but I assure you not all new members are pieces of shit and out to leech and gouge. 

Honestly the best thing you could do to remedy this situation is sell them for a penny on eBay and totally devalue them on that marketplace.  If another auction pops up then post the same discs for a dollar and you have effectively neutralized the bastard.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but is this literally running while missing chips/pieces of the mobo?  Did you compensate for that in some way or are there sections of board that just aren't needed?  Anyway, looks badass and professional so cheers on creativity and job well done.

Yeah my bad with the giant pics, been a while since I uploaded pics to a board.  I just wanted to show how consistent and even the lines are.  The widescreen is great!  It's what pushed me over the edge and made me want to track one down.  It also has under scan for both 16:9 and 4:3 so you can switch between consoles without having to mess with changing the geometry.

Took these images with my iPhone.  Turbo Duo to BVM via scart.  Colors are washed out considerably compared to the source.  I tried to get the colors right but I don't know a lot about photography.

Purchased white Turbo Duo with RGB mod from mickcris.  Arrived quickly and as described with great extras he threw in for me.  It's working great and couldn't be happier.  I was initially having problems with the picture and he took the time to help me troubleshoot the problem and even sent me a second cable to try and help me out.  Ultimately the problem was on my end and had nothing to do with his mods.  Now it is working great and I'm very thankful!

Well as soon as I get a Turbo with RGB I'll post some pictures and we can see how they compare.  I totally understand people being fine with composite since we grew up with that.  I think s-video is an excellent option, especially for people who are not using BVM/PVM/XM/etc.  On the other hand, how many games did I actually own/play growing up?  Probably less than 100 before N64/Playstation came along.  This means the nostalgia factor only affects a hand full of games while I can enjoy gaming's entire catalogue at what is arguably one of the best possible analog pictures.  To each their own but I highly recommend the BVM if you can find one at a great price.

They use BNC connectors.  I had never seen BNC before in my life but they are still in use today in security systems and readily available at Fry's.  They are just an alternative to RCA style plugs and feature a locking mechanism to keep the wires from falling out.  There is a female scart to BNC + RCA stereo plug that you can find from Retro Console Accessories on eBay.  You can buy BNC to RCA adapter and plug a standard component cable right into the back of it.  In fact, the green input will take composite and that's how I play my consoles that I don't have RGB worked out on yet.  It takes all kinds of sync and I haven't found anything that gave it any problems.  I do not own a sync stripper and I 100% believe that is unnecessary for this BVM.

I love the BVM, I love it death.    I too grew up with composite but there is something really special about playing on such a nice display.  To me it is similar to playing a rom vs the original cart, there is something special in the presentation that gives the game more life.  I have a component video card in the BVM as well so I have been playing Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 on it.  You can buy BNC to RCA converter and plug a standard component cable right into the back of it.  Being able to play 240p, 480p/i, 720p, and 1080i games, on every generation of console I own, is a very satisfying!

I was lucky enough to have one of these.  I put many many hours on that bad boy.  I don't remember it having any other inputs besides composite.  I think the big fuss was because it had some sort of special comb filter that was supposed to be legendary for gaming.  The subwoofer and the closing speaker doors made my 7th grade head explode when I got one of these.

Im definitely a fan, have seen every episode a few times by now.  Found this forum whilst looking for a duo and had no idea Joe was affiliated with it.  The only reason I was looking for a duo in the first place was because of Game Sack and realizing how many awesome games I missed out on.  Really cool surprise to see his name on the mod list.  Looking forward to picking up the bluray soon.   And if Dave is here that's super cool too, but hes probably busy with his Nintendo forum.  Keep up the good work!

Hello everyone!

Brand new to this forum and the PC Engine as well.  I've never had a turbo of any kind in my entire life.  I've been lead to believe that I should find a Turbo Duo R/RX.  I'm good with electronics so I can recap and RGB mod myself but it would be nice to just buy one ready to go.  Just came here looking for one at a fair price. 

I'm 31 and enjoy collecting/playing retro/modern games.  I purchased a Sony BVM D24E1WU for a steal earlier this year and am currently working towards getting everything piped into it.  Also, the number one reason I am here is because Game Sack made me realize how many awesome games I missed out on.  I was searching for good places to pick up a Turbo and my search led me here and lo and behold Joe is a mod here.  Pretty damn cool. 

I don't know the culture here yet, sorry if this request is somehow in bad form but thanks for looking!
