That's kinda neat - gotta link?  I assume it's a tray insert thing, meant to fit within the back half of a normal jewel case.
Here's the link:

Quote from: Desh on 07/28/2017, 08:47 PMI have been out of town for a few days but I added a link to pics in original post.

compil3r, I haven't responded to your PM as I am awaiting response from 2 other folks that PM'd me ahead of you.  I also need to go to the post office and get a shipping quote to you as I have been burned by USPS's international shipping online estimator in the past.

Only Dk_madness entered, so I sent it to him.
Sounds fair!

If someone else has another one like that to spare, I can give it a good home :)

Quote from: Keith Courage on 03/23/2016, 10:06 PMNice! May I ask where you got those those black Pin connectors from? I've never been able to find them.
I got some free samples from here https://www.samtec.com/ it was a few years ago though so I don't know if they still do this.
The part numbers are SSW-123-02-T-T-RA and SSQ-123-02-T-T-RA
This still works, they just sent me 2 free samples. Maybe we, all together could make a big order later? Because they work with wholesale numbers...
#12
Hello hello! Are these still for sale? Thanks!
#13
Yes, it's for a Duo.

This is my monitor pinout:

I can make a custom cable or connector, no problem.

I will send you PM to buy one, thanks!

What do you guys think of these ones being sold at eBay? (besides it's pricey)

Hello, this is a RGB amp board only right? Could it work with a Commodore RGB monitor? I use it with the RGB from the scart out of some other consoles (like Megadrive) and it works fine.

If it works for what I need, I want one please!

Thanks!
#16
Great, I'll keep an eye on the rgb amp project too. I have a commodore 1084 monitor and since I could connect a sega megadrive to it, now I want EVERYTHING in RGB :) Thanks for the quick reply guys!
#17
Quick n00b questions: this can also be used as rgb amp? If not, is that proyect dropped? (that board was planned too)

Thanks!
#18
Great, I want one too! Count me in!

Also interested on the RGB Amp, please let us know BlueBMW!

Quote from: compil3r on 04/10/2013, 01:53 PMJust bought this lot. For the price (under $140) I think it was pretty good!

Biggest city in the world, Mexico City, Mexico! :)
That is a great find indeed. I didn't know turbo games were sold in Mexico. Just curious, did you get that at an open market or a video game store?
Oh yeah, TG16 was kinda big in Mexico. TG-16, CD unit and games were officially (like with a licensed distributor) sold on a big department stores chain over here, called Liverpool, something like Macy's or Sears in the US. Then when Turbo Duo came out, some stores like "Gameplanet" (they operate still to date) did took special orders from some gamers, and I bought my Turbo Duo and many games with them. Liverpool never brought the Duo or anything TTi related, guess the TG16 sales were not as expected.

I got this lot from open market, it's like the mexican version of eBay over here (I think they are actually associated) called MercadoLibre. From time to time, great deals like this one can be found there. Most of the time everything is overpriced, but this is proof that sometimes you can hit the jackpot!
DUDE :pcds:, I'd love to learn more about TG-16 in Mexico. ANY CHANCE that someone has scanned old flyers/advertisements/catalogs from Liverpool and/or Gameplanet?

What titles were available? Entire North American catalog? Any special documentation (like instruction manuals en Espanol) created for MercadoMexicano?
Sadly, I don't have any advertisement from that time... Gameplanet never included the system and games in their printed catalogs or ads in fact. Now, Liverpool on the other hand, had an entire section of electronics and the TG16-CD was connected as a demo console on one corner. Not all titles were available, I remember they had the basics like fighting street, monster lair and valis III. No manuals in spanish or anything extra.

Now, if there are other mexican gamers around 30 years old like me, here in the forum, maybe someone has more info about this... creating another thread just for that would be cool, if we have enough (worth) info!

Well played!  does the TE have sound?   [-o<
No, but I am replacing the caps right now. Very clean unit on the inside!

In my case, the problem is that the screen is not working with ANY video source... even if I connect a DVD player, there is only sound and all white video. Is expensive for me to send it back to china, so I just ordered another one from other source, checking that is other brand and seller.

Let's see how it goes!

#28
Hey thesteve, do you have a solution for the all white screens yet?

Thanks!!

I'm also interested in your RGB amp board, please make sure to let us know when these are ready, thanks!

Are these for sale or trade? If they are for sale, please let us know the prices, thanks!
#31
Glad I'm not the only one with this weird issue... I will send them the requested video soon, didn't had the time yet, I blame Ys IV english translation :D
#32
Damn, mine gives all white with any video source :(
#33
Seems the seller admits there's something wrong with *all white* displays. They replied to me asking if I've adjusted the brightness wheel on the side (duh! of course) and also requested a small video of the problem. I will send it, and maybe these end up being defective units...
#34
I didn't buy Thunder Force Gold Pack 2 for Sega Saturn, ended near $50 about three hours ago.
#35
I am testing it with 12V. Any video I put, shows the same white screen. I will ask the seller, maybe we are getting defective units!
#36
So maybe it's not that they don't work with the mod, but they are defective? It is supposed to take any video signal in, right?
#37
Ok, the LCD has just arrived. First thing I did was test it and all I get is a white screen... sound works, but no video. I haven't made the TE mod yet because I'm still waiting for resistors on the mail, but I tested it connecting a sega genesis model 2, and I don't get any video.

So, when you say the screen was not working with your mod, what did you get? black screen, white screen, scrambled video?

I am trying to figure out if the LCD I received is in fact defective.. :S

Thanks!

Quote from: SuperPlay on 02/27/2013, 05:49 AMDeep Blue, Everyone needs at least two copies of this in their collection and you seem to have forgotten to pick up the resistors / capacitors  ;-)
So I need another because I didn't had one until now! :)

And yes, I also bought the resistors and capacitors needed for my TE recap and LCD upgrade!
#40
Ys IV english translated and Dracula X of course... there's also a megaman port around somewhere, dungeon explorer II (US)... I had in mind a couple more, just can't remember.

Basically, all US releases that are far overpriced nowadays would be great!
#41
Quote from: turbokon on 02/26/2013, 06:04 PMGood luck with the LCD as all will not work with this mod. My last three LCDs doesn't work for the mods and I bought them from the same place.
Oh man, I hope not. What specific store/seller/model do you recommend, to make sure it works?

Thanks!
#42
Went downtown to buy some resistors and capacitors, and browsing around I got these:

/j5fsyp.jpg

Around $50 for everything :)
#43
Hahaha great pics guys :D
#44
Good news! I've just found them on a little but crowded electronics shop in downtown around here. I bought both 6.2k and 6.3k just to be sure.

Thanks guys, I will start this as soon as I get the LCD :)
#46
PM'd for a C64 bundle :)
#47
I've seen them in yahoo japanese auctions going for around $300 USD. If you have a way to buy from there, it's an option. Check them with this link:

http://auctions.search.yahoo.co.jp/search?p=PC%E3%82%A8%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B8%E3%83%B3+RX&auccat=&aq=-1&oq=&ei=UTF-8&tab_ex=commerce&slider=0

I recently bought there a Megadrive + Mega CD 1 combo, both boxed, and both for under $100. So, sometimes you can find great deals!

I am listening to Sword of Sodan (intro), great music!
