Ok guys, clearing it all out. Time to move on. I've added the rest of my NES, SNES, Super Famicom, etc stuff to the list. Take a look and see if you're interested in anything. If you see something, just PM me. Prices do not include shipping because of how much pricing varies. Please excuse upside down and sideways pictures. NA host refuses to upload them the correct way. Hey guys, looking to sell my boxed PC Engine CDROM2 unit and what games I have left for it, along with a few Turbo games. The CDROM unit was serviced by Keith Courage last year and has the new gear installed. Works great. Overall the unit is in superb condition with all the manuals, OEM AC adapter, System Card 2.1, baggies, etc. I'm including the Super System Card 3.0 with the unit. Box is very nice other than a slight bend in the top on one side as seen in the picture. Games are listed below with details. If interested, send me a PM. Make an offer. Prices do not include shipping due to how much shipping costs vary due to distance, weight, etc. Thanks for looking!

Hello, I'm looking to sell my Neo Geo CD boxed console with the 3 games I have for it. I don't really play it anymore and I've decided to sell it to invest in upgrading my PC. The console and all accessories are in great condition and plays flawlessly. However, it does include only one controller. The box is very nice too, with just a ding on the side and upper right hand corner. Comes with the manual, Neo Geo CD game catalog, and registration card. The games included are Fatal Fury 3, King of Fighters 95, and Samurai Shodown, all of which are in very good condition. I'm looking to get $200 plus shipping for the set. If you're interested, send me a PM. Thanks for looking!

I'm looking to sell my extra copies of Ys and Ys II for the MSX. Ys includes the obi but is missing the hardcover manual. Also, there is a bit of Japanese writing in the upper corner. Ys II includes the hardcover manual and is in excellent shape. I'm looking to get $45 for the pair but I'm willing to separate them if necessary. Just PM if you're interested. Thanks!

Well, I've decided to sell my Laseractive. I really don't use it that much and the games I really want for it are outrageously expensive so I've decided to sell it all and put the money towards other things. The package includes the Laseractive unit, Sega PAC S-10, 6-Button controller, 6 foot controller extension and 2 games - Triad Stone and Pyramid Patrol. The LA is in overall very nice shape. It has a few dings and scratches along the edges of the metal shell but it's still a very nice looking unit. Both it and the Sega PAC work great. Never had any issues at all. Controller works great as well. Both games work flawless. Pyramid Patrol has instruction sheet, while Triad Stone has the obi and instruction sheet. Ys and Snatcher shown to demonstrate Sega PAC works. Looking to get $500 plus shipping for the whole package. If anyone is interested, send me a PM.

I've seen people making replacement clips for the Turbografx CD carrying case and Turbo Duo HuCard doors. Has anyone considered making a replacement door for the Laseractive PAC slot? Those things are very difficult to come by. I think I've seen one on Ebay over the last few years. Seems the majority of LAs I've seen are missing the door. I know I'd buy one if it were available. How about it?

Off-Topic / Any Ys Collectors here?
08/14/2015, 08:41 AM
Ever since I first played Ys Books I&II on the Turbo CD I've been a huge fan of the series. Something about hearing Adol's Theme during the intro hooked me and I've been collecting Ys items ever since. My goal is to get every game released for the series, period. Thus far I have 29 games and 2 doubles though there are quite a few that have evaded me. I also collect other Ys items, like the DVDs, laserdiscs, soundtracks, art books, etc. Anyone else here a huge fan of the series like me?

Also, I have a couple of doubles that I'd like to sell to put towards other games. They are:

Ys Ancient Ys Vanished - missing booklet - $30
Ys III - Wanderers From Ys - includes booklet - $45

If anyone is interested, let me know.

Hey, just wondering if anyone has an extra Sega or NEC PAC they'd be willing to part with for a decent price. Ebay prices have gotten ridiculous, even for the Sega S-10 PAC. No box or instructions needed. Thanks!
#15
Being the huge Ys fan that I am, I imported Wanderers from Ys for the PS2 and just finished playing through it last night. I've played through the Turbo, SNES, and Genesis ports along with Oath in Felghana previously and I must say that I loved this PS2 port. I'm a huge fan of 2D artwork and it's pretty amazing in this game. Much of it has a painted look to it and the sprites look very nice as well. It was pretty easy though, much easier that the 16-bit versions. The music is also very nice though not quite up to par with the Turbo or Oath in Felghana tracks. The only downside is that there is no English version or translation patch. Of course, anyone who has played Ys III knows the storyline already but it would still be nice to play it in English. I highly recommend this game for any Ys fan.

Hey, just hoping someone has a spare Supergrafx or Coregrafx manual that they'd be willing to part with. I've got a couple of great looking consoles with the boxes but need the manuals to complete them. Always looking to improve my NEC collection so I hope someone can help me out. Thanks

I've seen this item on Ebay twice now. I assume it's probably part of a development kit or something. Anyone know anything about this unit? Couldn't find anything in the forum about it.

Just came across this on Ebay and was wondering if anyone had ever seen one of these before. It has the TG16 logo on the sleeve and the date is 1990. Thought about trying to get it just to see what it is. Definitely not for the Laseractive since it's dated 1990. Perhaps it's nothing more than a preview disc, maybe for the CES or something so that it would have improved picture quality over a VHS tape. Any ideas?

Just got a Supergrafx in the box in good condition with everything except the instruction manual. If anyone has an extra let me know and hopefully we can work something out. Also looking for some SGX games complete with the outer box for a decent price. If anyone has some spares let me know. Thanks!!

I pretty much collect anything for the NEC Turbografx 16 and have accumulated some extra manuals and papers for the console that I'd like to sell. If you're like me and want all the paperwork that came with the consoles, well, here's your chance to complete your TG-16 paperwork!!  Check out the pics below. Here are the prices:

Turbografx-16 Console Manual - Near Mint - $8
Turbografx-16 Console Manual - Shows wear and has old TTI phone number written in it - $6
Turbo Stick Manual - Yellow on edge and some damage - $3
Turbografx-16 Product Brochure - Absolute Mint - 4 in stock - $5 each
Turbografx-16 Registration Card - Absolute Mint - 2 in stock - $5 each
Turbografx-16 Cardboard Thank You Insert - lots of creases - $10

Shipping is free EXCEPT for the cardboard insert and larger TG-16 manuals but it wouldn't be much at all. If someone wants them all in one lot I could make a deal. Thanks for looking!!

Ok, so after using an aftermarket AC adapter for my TG16 for a long time I finally found an original AC adapter to use. However, after looking at it I remembered that it looked different from the one I had years ago and it turns out I was right. Apparently there are two different looking TG16 AC adapters, one with a sticker and one with the technical specs stamped into the plastic. The information on them is nearly identical, and both are NTSC, not PAL. Anyone know why there are two versions? Here are two pics for comparison:

Does anyone know what paperwork came with the earliest releases of the TG-16? There are a couple of sets I've seen on Ebay, some have the poster, some don't. Others come with an issue of Turbo Play, which I assume came with later releases. Any info?
#24
Ok, found a TG-16 RF unit at a flea market for $7 today so all I'm looking for now is the orange TG-16 poster and the Turbo Play insert that came with the console brand new. If anyone could spare these items it would be greatly appreciated. Just shoot a message my way. Thanks!

Ok, so I just bought a copy of the original release of Ys Books I&II on the TGCD off of Ebay. I already had the TTI Turbo Duo version and wanted the original since I found the original box and map I had years ago. However, I found something peculiar about the back insert. The black text on the yellow strip around the top looks almost printed on and not glossy like the black part of the insert where it says CD game. Also, the white inside of the insert isn't glossy like the front. I examined the insert for my copy of Ys III and both sides are glossy. I noticed that there are fake printed copies of the insert for sale on Ebay, but these copies are missing the 849-0072 number next to Ys Books I&II on the sides, so they're different. So, does it sound like an original or a decent homemade copy?

Ok, we've all seen games that were ported from the arcade or other consoles and have been disappointed. For instance, Space Harrier for the PCE plays great but the lack of the checkboard ground and small player sprite are a bit disappointing. Or Strider, which plays nicely and has an awesome soundtrack but the colors aren't so hot. Seeing these examples and others, I can't help but think that they could be improved on. I've seen Chris Covell's Axelay demo for the SGX and was blown away. In a recent issue of Retro Gamer, someone ported Space Harrier to the Atari 2600 and it was quite amazing considering the hardware. Has anyone tried to take an existing game and improve them, or perhaps tried to port a game to the PCE that was never made before? For instance, alter the code in Space Harrier to give it the checkerboard look? Or perhaps take some sprites from Final Fight and see if the PCE could handle them moving on screen? I've seen where some homebrew developers have been able to learn new tricks to push the limits of various platforms beyond what was originally thought possible. The holy grail to me would be a homebrew port of Strider for the SGX to show what really could have been done.
#27
I've been a big PC Engine fan for years and have always wondered about what the Supergrafx could've been capable of, especially with the Arcade Card. I discovered Chris Covell's Axelay demo a while back and thought it was pretty amazing. After seeing that, and having played DaiMakamura, I've always wondered how good a Strider port really could've been. I was on another forum and there was an alleged Strider demo created by someone but the link to the files was down. I have no idea if it was just sprites, backgrounds, if it existed at all. Does anyone have any info on this?
