Not been around these parts for sometime so if this has been previously posted i apologise. I only stumbled across it this morning.

An F-Zero caravan stage racer and it looks pretty impressive for an unfinished game.

I work for an engineering company and we just received a data upgrade for a machine and it came loaded on a Turbo Chip and then i find out the machine obviously has  a card slot.

Weird media for 2104 but interesting someone still makes them.

Hi guys

Can anyone help with a possible game title, i saw a game that im sure was on the pc engine could of possibly been a cd game but it looked very like thexder, Robot mech that could morph into a spaceship to fly about , Side scrolling type affair, I wanted to get it but cannot remember for the life of me the title.

Thanks

This game is probably about two years old now and im sure some of you may be aware of it but a quick search didnt show up any posts so ill share it, Its a homebrew on the NES and is basically a 2minute caravan section of Soldier Blade its really good and should definitely be featured on the next gamesack Home brew episode :)

O.K so the only perk of being an insomniac is that i get to spend many hours trawling for Indie games, I discovered this one a couple weeks ago and its pretty cool.

It has a lot of obvious Turbo Grafx influence from the intro onwards and it looks like if Dead Moon did have a sequel on cd due to the screaming guitar soundtrack.

It plays pretty nice and for a dollar you cant really go wrong.

Wondered if any of you guys actually own one of these display stands or have seen one in the flesh, I once saw an ad for someone selling some of the flip pages from the binder.

Hello again

Those of you that read my first post here a few months back might recall how i first saw a Turbo advertised in a comic i was reading in 1990..........Well i happened to find that same comic and here it is for your viewing pleasure :)

It is just a comic but it makes me feel so nostalgic, I had not all that long had my NES at the time and seeing these pics blew my mind as vigilante was one of my favourite arcade games as a kid and i though what how is this possible what is this strange sounding machine the name Turbo-Grafx 16 did seem really odd to me as a kid like a powerful robot or something which is actually what it is.

What games do you really feel passionate about or that just really make you feel good to play as soon as you throw that switch??

Whether it be nostalgia or just a love of an awesome game.

I cant help but love every single time i hear the Soldier Blade music and knowing what great blasting is to follow, I love Legendary Axe because its awesome but so typically Turbo with great music and i also love keith courage there i said it, lots of people bash it but it was the first Title i ever saw a picture of and i do enjoy its quirky nature.

Is there anybody in the U.K that can offer a region mod on an NTSC Turbo Grafx please, Im fearing my converter maybe be dying as im continually having issue using pc engine games and am fearing the day when it stops completely, I know the guy at console goods has done some in the past but he says he has no time to do such things currently and sending it over to the states and back is gonna be costly.

I have recently had issues with two Hu card games that have previously been fine one is Armed formation and the other is valkyrie densetsu, With Armed formation it loads perfectly and plays fine up until the first half of the first level then all the enemies disappear and you cant do anything but wonder to the end of the level.

Valkyrie also loads o.k although sometimes the opening title is a little glitchy, you can start the game but after about 20 seconds of play it stops and emits a loud single tone sound.

All contacts on both games look brand new and are clean i just wondered if anybody else had experienced similar things with other games and are they just dead now?

Hi all

I just recently picked up a copy of this highly rated and much talked about game, Ive wanted to play this for probably more than 10 years, i wasn't going to copy it and also wasn't going to pay a silly price for it, I was very very lucky in finding a complete copy for £26.00.

Upon initially playing it though im not overly impressed with it, The screen feel squat and cramped and
the flow of the game just doesn't seem much fun, I haven't been back to the game since my initial hour or so on it purely just as ive been so busy with work but i plan to this weekend.

Wondered what some of you feel about the game, does it deserve the hype??

Hi guys back again

Im sure quite a few of you saw my Turbo Grafx 16 arcade machine i posted last week, Well im wondering if there are any obscure and really good pc engine titles that you guys know that maybe i don't.

i have researched this pretty hard but the odd title always does pop up, I literally only discovered saint Dragon last week, its one of my favorite arcade machines and never knew it was ported to the pc engine, so if you have anything that you think i might not know or anything you wanna run past me id love to hear about it.

I think the arcade currently runs about 240'ish games so im sure there are maybe a couple Hu cards i don't have running yet.

Anyways i look forward to your input

Hi once again guys

I wanted to share something with you that im really proud of doing and i hope you guys will like it also.

In the interim of eventually getting my hands on a genuine Ntsc Turbo grafx 16 I got into building custom arcade machines, I built firstly a space invaders cabinet and then an outrun 2, For someone with no experience or guidance they both came out really nice.

i was thinking about what i was gonna build next as by this stage i had already decided i was gonna have my own home arcade, i wanted to make something original and that to my knowledge had not been done before or at least not with the look i would give it......................and so yes i built a Turbo Grafx arcade machine, for the tech guys that like to know about hardware its purely emulated through magic engine, It does run on a real 20" Hantarex monitor and the controls are all seimitsu, It Plays brilliantly and the magic engine menu is all linked through the controls.

So yes here is is my Turbo Grafx 16 arcade machine

Hello hello hello fellow global Turbo countrymen

I have a story to tell, The Turbo Grafx 16 is something i wanted my whole life, Living in the u.k this wasn't an easy task many years ago. My love for the Turbo Grafx 16 ( if your wondering why i'm listing its name in entirety each time its because i never get bored of saying it ) began one night when i had to go to accompany my mum to an audition as she was a play write back then and i had to go with her it was 1990 and i was 12 years old i was still several months away from getting my first console the NES, On route to the audition we stopped in a paper shop and i bought a Batman comic, i used to love reading american comics purely to read the NES adverts scattered throughout, An hour or so later i had scanned my way through the comic book and then as i finished and turned the final page..BLAM...I saw it for the first time on the back page was the Turbo Grafx 16 i literally couldn't believe what i was seeing i vividly recall the screenshot of vigilante at the time i played vigilante on an Amstrad cpc 464 and here this version looked like the arcade, I read every minute letter and detail of that page.........Instantly i was hooked, The Orange and the black logo burnt into my memory forever.

fast forward 20 years and still gaming as much as ever i stumbled across a reasonably priced brand new pal Turbo Grafx 16, Excited didn't describe how i felt the problem was with it being new i was reluctant to open it, i eventually did but only to hold and look at it, The console i kept sealed in the bag and placed it back in the box, I had played most of the games already on an emulator so my fix was momentarily relieved i had attempted some months later to buy another to use but by this time the prices had been jacked up so i didn't, the thing is i didn't want the dull grey pal unit i wanted the bad ass black and orange ntsc ass kicking fire breathing model the real turbo that i had seen all those years ago.

A few months on from here and i was searching around for a step down converter as i had agreed with myself i would buy a real Turbo from the states and then ...and then there she was i discovered something pretty unique, it was an NTSC Turbo grafx 16 black model in a mint conditioned box with three games for £50.00 but this was no ordinary system it had been modified to run on u.k televisions with a scart lead hard wired into the console and i don't know if this is normal or not but it also runs on a u.k power supply without a step down converter............SCORE after all these years of wanting i finally have my dream console, I picked up a games converter and got crazy on some Japanese sites, i know have about 70 hu cards and i love every minute of this damn awesome machine.

So hello to everyone in the community this is my story, i also have something else very special to share with you but that's in the next post

Peace

Yan
