I hope not, too large to fit in frame :p

Quote from: guest on 11/14/2012, 01:57 PMFrom your other thread, It appears that you don't mind non-legit copies. You may not know that a multicart exists for the Turbografx/PC-Engine. This allows for you to play all but 1 game, iirc.I do not mine non-legit stuff, but I still prefer to have the real deal as well. I normally go non-legit to "demo" a game or for travel use

Worth the purchase.
Game wise, I suggest Dungeon Explorer 1 & 2, Tricky Kick, Dragon's Curse, Last Alert, Bloody Wolf, and Shockman.
Quote from: OldRover on 11/14/2012, 01:45 PMExile (action RPG) and Cosmic Fantasy 2 (traditional RPG) are must-haves.Thanks for the suggestions!! That reminds me, the games anyone sugests should be english friendly
EDIT: Cadash (action RPG) too... all three were brought over by the same company (Working Designs).
Quote from: PCEngineHell on 11/13/2012, 02:59 PMI'd just take it apart and sand the door and paint it black. Then again, I'd also stick the consoles entire shell in the dishwasher first, as it looked pretty dirty from the pics.Yea it was dirty when I first got it (when I took the pic) since then its been cleaned up very nicely. much better now than it was before
Quote from: guest on 11/13/2012, 02:53 PMhen you say sticker solution, what do you mean exactly?Quote from: JohnnyPhantom on 11/13/2012, 01:35 PM.....or maybe a design to give it more of a "Hey its just a cool system skin decal" rather than a "hey im hiding something here shhh dont look"hahah...ya man, you dont want it looking like a band-aid. I can only offer sticker solutions its what i do
But be careful you do not want the graphic dominating the Duo system.
Quote from: guest on 11/13/2012, 12:18 PMHey John, what do you think...I kinda see what you mean with the shape, very nice with the box matching. that may not be a bad idea, but I may go with it being a flat black, or maybe a design to give it more of a "Hey its just a cool system skin decal" rather than a "hey im hiding something here shhh dont look"
the patch/shape came from the shape on the front of a Duo Box.... https://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x114/sparkss_photo/bf601fe05453ce30039638970ddbd64e.jpg
i will flush it out more, but it covers it well but the trick will be matching the black in the duo with the sticker, i dont think it should match up perfectly as its a cool shape and can stand on its own but you dont want it standing out like a sore thumb. Also for the rest of your duo try using some detailing spray that they use on cars. I use this...
https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-Quik-Detailer-Mist-Spray/dp/B0009IQXAE
Just spritz it on and wipe away and then use a clean cloth and rub it again, it WON'T over do it or make it to shinny, it will blacken it and help hide scratches or imperfections on the duo as it looks a little rough in spots or is it just dirty ? this will also help the sticker to blend in with the body. Any way its just a quick comp and hope others comment as well, or add ideas as will get her looking good
Quote from: guest on 11/13/2012, 12:33 PMhttp://www.japangamestock.com/buy_video_games.php?cPath=66&products_id=4104Awesome link! only bummer is its $28 shipped... blah... how would one make his own? Also is there anyway to tell a MD one vs a PCE/TurboDuo one?
Quote from: JKM on 11/13/2012, 01:02 PMYou've been here for all of 5 minutes and you figured out how to use Tocfixer without any of us talking about it, and you're capable of doing your own tech work.Ha!
Noob of the year contender!
Quote from: psychobear on 11/12/2012, 01:42 PMHave you tried heating it up with a heat gun or hair dryerI have not, be too afraid of warping it
Quote from: JoshTurboTrollX-16 on 11/12/2012, 12:44 PMLooking for cheap CD and SCD games to play around with your Duo, just search around for Import versions of Dungeon Explorer II or Winds of Thunder/Gate of Thunder for GREAT MUSIC!Before I got the Duo I had a TG-16 which I just sold off eBay for $150 (sold it with Keith Courage anda TurboBooster CIB). I do have a handful of Hucards, the best being Splatterhouse ^-^ I also have some sports one, another Keith Courage, Twin Laps, Victory Run, JJ & Jeff, and Dragon Spirit if memory serves me right, theres also a few I know I'm forgetting. I WOULD LOVE to get my hands on Neutopia 1 or 2 and Ghost Manor
Also, yes- you can't go wrong with Loom, great great game!! You can usually find the Sherlock Holmes games for low prices, also search for Riot Zone or whatever else you can grab for cheap. There are some great games out there for low prices!
Also, did you plan on getting any HuCard games? There are TONS of great ones.
Quote from: guest on 11/12/2012, 11:36 AMSparky can hook you up with a fly as fuck sticker to cover that noise up.Thats what I figured, I'm gonna see if I can hunt sparky down now any link with some of his work/products?
It's likely unfixable.
You could try getting the same shade of matte enamel-y paint and just touch it up but it will still look dumb. Stickers = Success.
Quote from: guest on 11/12/2012, 10:13 AMIf I'm reading this correctly, you're asking if CDRs fuck with the Duo's laser. You're only two posts in and you've already asked the most controversial question on these forums. Congrats.Oh I try
So I'm going to say: yes, in my experience, CDRs and Duos do not go together well.
And as I run from this thread before the shitstorm begins, I'm going to leave you with this: $5 for a working DUO?!?!?! BEST DEAL EVER!
Quote from: guest on 11/12/2012, 10:14 AMSome people are certain that cdrs wear out your laser more than real game discs and some people are certain that they don't at all. What everyone agrees upon is that you will get mixed results playing cdr games. So if you want to benchmark your Duo, you should at least but some cheap CD games (there are hundreds of them) and try them out. Thanks for the advice! Currently i'm working on getting Loom, but what are some great fun (or the funnest) of the cheap games that use redbook audio do you suggest?
