None, really. By the time my younger siblings were old enough to really play, we had two TVs, a TV in my room and a TV in the living room. When I was very little, of course there were time restrictions, but they were mostly limited to after-hours. So no gaming late at night, etc. I was mostly raised by my siblings after my mother's death, and I don't think my dad really cared too much, so I was spared the strict rules other kids had.

Only Fools and Horses and Yes Minister. Can't really recall any genuinly funny US sitcoms from the 80s, Cheers is a nice series with a lot of charm but I don't think it is all that funny.

It's funny, but not the funniest. I actually rewatched Season 1 on Netflix not too long ago, and I quite did not like the end/beginning of season 2. I'll trudge through eventually to get to some of the better later seasons, but it was a chore to finish S1.

The sudden shift is making me a tad anxious. I have a lot of family and friends in central Florida, including a few who evacuated. They're safe now, but man, they may not have a place to live afterward...

These natural disasters are hitting closer and closer to home every year. The SD fire a few years ago, hurricane Irene and Sandy here in NY, now Irma. Climate change is getting out of hand.

That's fair if you know what you're getting into. It's unfortunate that there aren't more videos of gameplay and no English reviews of the hardware. I wasn't expecting Famicom level quality when I got mine, but I was very, very disappointed. Kept it for a couple years before the culling.

Could be worse, I guess.

The Super Cassette Vision, on the other hand, was rightfully trounced, and isn't worth a fraction of what it costs on ebay. A neat oddity, but way to expensive to justify owning.

But it has a Lupin game.....

I never owned Lupin, but the games weren't the issues. It's the controller more than anything. I just hated the controller. The console itself was dubbed my wife "the microwave." Felt cheap and too toy-like, just like the controllers.

I did find the balloon effect when there's no game in it to be kind of cool, but that's about it.

And Astro Wars was too tough and not fun enough.

As I said, it's kind of neat to own, but wasn't worth keeping as a console proper.

I think people who keep saying that $15/hr is greedy forget that it's 2017. If 1968 minimum wage was adjusted for inflation, it would be over $10, but even that is misleading, for while products are cheaper than ever, services (and college!) is through the roof. People say flipping burgers isn't a career, but despite the lowest taxes on the rich in history, full time salaried positions have not appeared, and people either flip burgers are starve.

The media has latched onto this because they needed something new to sensationalize, like usual. While it is true that right-wing violence is more prevalent than left-wing violence, neither can be overlooked or justified. Violence is violence and it doesn't matter who you are or what side you represent when you do it. To me, Antifa is just as shitty as these fucking neonazis. I can't believe no one has mentioned spine cards. Once the game is opened, there is really no decent place to store them, aside from shoving them awkwardly in the manual. Unlike TG16 boxes, which *at least* look good on the shelf, they don't really add extra art, or anything of interesting value to a game. Its a friggin' piece of paper with the game name and manufacturer on it. Honestly, I prefer my games come with pre-lost spine cards. Getting a spine card in a game is like getting an ugly sweater from Grandma at Christmas, you can't throw it away, but you hate keeping it.

Same as you here. If there's ever been a more useless addition to a game, it's a spine card.
