I replaced the battery tonight. The battery I got from ebay had solder tabs but they stick out on opposite ends of the battery. So I used a wire on the NEG side. Seems to work great. Would the Tennokoe Bank loose its contents immediately if the battery was no good? The only thing that concerns me is that the CR2016 is considerably smaller than the CR2320. So I guess it will not last as long. The original I took out still measured a strong 3+ volts. :)

Quote from: Official Ninja on 08/01/2013, 10:00 PMIt doesn't look hard to replace. I ordered some batteries that have solder tabs on them already.
I'll post another pic of the new battery installed when I swap it.

Huh, what is that, CR2320?  I wonder why you have that battery, while that post linked earlier says it's a CR2016...
Yes. Exactly what I'd like to know. I'm sure any 3v battery that fit will be fine though.

Here is more information to consider.

My tg-cd had the warm up issue, gear was "stretched" looking and fell apart when i touched it. I replaced the gear with one sent to me from these forums. Still had a warm up issue.

Today I stopped by the electronics store to get a 5v fan for my trs-80 disk drive case. I look on the junk table and I see a NEC CDR-35D-01.
Its marked $5.00 so I grab it up and purchase it with my fan.

When i got home I plugged the tg-16 power adaper up to it and BINGO it starts playing my Ozzy Diary of a Madman disc. SCORE.

I hook the drive up to the tg-16 cd base unit and it doesnt work when i press run. BUT, if i press play music plays through the TV.

So, I get my broken drive, gut out the whole laser assembly. It was a 166(?) I then gutted the whole laser assembly from the 35D to the tg-cd drive.
Had to solder 4 wires is all.

Plug the TG-CD drive with 35D laser unit (220 type) in to my CD base unit and BAM! Perfect working tg-CD. Works perfect even reads CD-R like a dream.

For $5.00 !!!!

Jersey or not, I still think the puss-n-boots begging should get the job done. I need games! Even if they are crap!

Quote from: Damaramu on 12/10/2010, 07:48 PMI just picked up another Avenue pad 6 for $20. I love these controllers!
Thats this one right?

I have the white 6 button controller. I really like it, but the diagonals are harder to hit. I think this is because of the large D-pad.

I really would like ot get one of those Avenue 6 pads!

Well, if anyone would like to let us borrow a gear to make a mold, that would be great. (We being myself and my brother in engineering) We plan to make a mold, cast a gear, test it, cast a few more, and then make a multi gear mold out of more expensive material. This way, with the more expensive mold material, we can cast hundreds before the mold is used up. Of course the disclaimer is the same with anything in the manufacturing process. Things can go wrong, so its a risk to whoever donates the gear. I've seen machine heads dive into work pieces that cost thousands and thousands of dollars. #-o But, I don't see much trouble with molding a little gear.

Here is a pic of the gear all programmed for the CNC machine in our CAD/CAM. If I ever order some small carbide cutters, I'm going to try to cut one someday. :)

I want in too! I would LOVE that system.

Coolest thing I ever got for Christmas was freaking huge Shogun Warrior Dragun action figure!
Bad ass!!! My brother got the other guy that was blue and shot ninja stars. We hurled axes and stars at each other ALL Christmas day. It was awesome.
