I found out Guwange was released recently on XBLA. I generally don't like pay-downloads but.. it's Guwange! :) So - my weekends worth of gaming is gonna be Cave all the way!
#202
I'm playing Silent Hill 4 right now. I wish it would just end so I can have it over with.
#203
Aaah, and I've just spent all my money! Wouldn't say no to Kato and Ken, Image Fight and Fantasy Zone..
#204
Yay, thanks again!
#205
I like what I see! :D
#206
guyjin: I agree! :)

Opethian: Yeah, it's from when I was young. Back then it was unusual for a PAL TV to display 60hz and the reason I have a PAL at all is that it was standard here for many years.
#207
Opethian: It's both. I have two LCD's and one CRT, but the CRT can only display 50hz. Unlucky! So, basically I have to get a whole new TV just for that one game. No way! But I DO need a TV for tate... Hmmm.... :)

This arrived today:

Thank you RR1980! :D
#208
Thanks but I meant to the person who thought this forum was about car engines. :)
#209
I don't get it.. Every day is MY day.
#210
I agree. We all like what we like, there is no need for a reason more than "fun". I'm not particularly fond of the MK-series but I had a lot of fun with those games when I was young. And explaining why I liked them is just redundant.
#211
Quote from: MathiusIt already happened once in one of the PC-FX discussion threads earlier in the year.
Do you have a link to that post?
#212
I also got a supergun not too long ago - I got it to play Cave-games. I don't know why, but apparently those games run in 59hz which none of my TV's can display properly. I wasn't too happy when I realized that beeing that I've payed $365 for a custom made supergun and ESP.Ra.De PCB. :/
#213
Haha, this is so much fun! Sometimes I feel he is too much of a know-it-all, and sometimes I feel the customers really are idiots. :D
#214
Oh, I never heard of RF Generation.. Nifty collection-tool! I was a part of a gaming forum back in the day that allowed me to list my collection in a handy way but since I left it I've just had every game in a .txt-file. Not so much fun.

He kind of brought it on himself.. I don't approve of running someone over of course, but.. well. He could've done something else than fight and damage a car - like play video games and chill.
#216
I mostly played Silent Hill 4 today (I never finished that one so I'm setting things straight) but I also had time to test a few Dreamcast-pearls that I really liked. Those beeing Unreal Tournament, Cannon Spike, Sonic Adventure and the shmup I never bought when it was cheap; Under Defeat.

You have $30 shipped for Batsugun here.. It's missing the spinecard, right?
#219
Mine doesn't mean anything, it's just my name.

Quote from: guestAnd what's more entertaining than a few rounds of Bomberman '94 and Dungeon Explorer?
Bomberman '94 haven't arrived yet. :)
#221
Yesterday I didn't get to play. See my girlfriends sister is visiting us and when I suggested video games she said really whiny (but with an attitude) "the guest get's superbored when you play video games". In normal circumstances I would've said "too bad for you" but she just sat seven hours on a train to meet us for two days so yeah maybe I did the right thing to let it go and entertain her instead. :)
#222
Oooh, AV Famicom! I've had my eyes on one of those for years now.
#223
I started 2009. I bought a loose coregrafx at an insane price.. (with delivery fees and customs it landed on about $180)
#224
Quote from: nat on 11/02/2010, 10:55 PMI'm not going to list every game I own as others have, I mean, who actually reads all that stuff?
I do. :) Or, not all but particular parts, like which shmups people have etc. But I have to add as well - I only enjoy reading in lists made up by games the gamer likes. If someone just collects games to get a complete collection then it's worthless for me. The point is to see what taste people have and how many games you eventually have in common. :)

Quote from: Frank_fjs on 11/02/2010, 09:26 AMOoh, what's the Fairchild Channel F like? I've never seen one in the flesh nor played one, have only read about it on the web. If you can be bothered, post some pics.
Red Baron rocks, other than that I have very few good games and the second controller is broken (they are built in so I can't replace it) so I actually have it in a box in the bottom of our "basement-cage" gathering dust. And for that reason I can't offer any tasty pictures for the time being. I love the game cartridges, almost as big as a Gameboy (!) and yellow. That's the way to go.
#226

I wanted to see Paranormal Activity 2 but I couldn't find it on the internet so.. we saw Mirrors. It didn't feel like a horror movie, more like drama/action but it was okay to watch anyway.

Now that's dedication! We have the future elite in Starcraft right there!
#231
Left 4 Dead 2. We had to try the new campaign (The Sacrifice) and I'm not convinced it was a good buy. It was just three parts and had a very weak ending with no REAL action. I'd prefer if they packed every campaign on the same disc for L4D3 so I don't have to pay for downloads (I hate that) and stuff my HDD with mediocre gameplay.
#232
It wasn't just the game per se, the situation snowballed - you know how it can be. Maybe they weren't purple, if I remember to try it out again I'll correct myself later. :)

Quote from: Tablet on 10/29/2010, 02:09 PMFarmville doesn't have a pause button 'nough said.

It isn't even a stressy type of game. I bet the game is being used as a scape goat and I bet she had other problems in her life too.

Media + Videogames = Stupidity of the highest level
You are correct, sir! Sharp thinking! It's not because of farmville, if she kills a baby chances are she was good 'n crazy before the game as well. :) And as said, media + videogames = does not compute.

Mathius: How far have you gotten? I remember something about small purple airplanes or something like that - impossible to hit, on the second "plane" or something. I never got past them, after an hour of trying I gave up and Area 88 (I have the SFC-version) have now become Area Dust. I remember it was a big fight on the forum I was currently hanging out in at the time, me, some of the admins and other people couldn't get along because they couldn't accept me not liking the game. From there it got worse, with general hate and rumours and silent despice. It eventually led to me leaving the forum. Haha, a magic game. I have to play it some more, maybe I'll like it better today!

RR1980 have even more from my list, he/she sent me a PM. I'm yet again a little surprised of the price levels but I'm going to try negotiate. :)
#239
Yeah, collecting them for fun is okay. It's the sealed thing that is hard for me to accept. And also the phenomena were people buy games cheap with the intention of fucking newbies over with outrageous prices. Dishonest profithunters. I'm sure you all have run in to those kind of bastards since there's even a "f@ck ebay"-club going on here. :)

Quote from: guestIt's the same here; courts can commit someone against his will, but no judge would listen to people whose sole contact with the afflicted person is via the internet.  If the people that actually spend time with him (the poor bastards) don't see anything wrong with him, then why would a judge order a psych evaluation just because some dude complains about harassing comments on youtube?
I was thinking that the gathered voices could be at least a start for an investigation - of course the whole thing can't stand on it's feet with only youtubers but if no one mentions it ever (not even his closest friends, though I doubt he have any) then the wheels are never going to start spinning. But as I have come to realize, this is not my concern - he's on the other side of the world, practically and I have decided to back away slowly and never touch the subject again so that I don't become a part of the insanity. :)
