@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

While cleaning out the attic a few weeks ago I came across all my old PCE Magazines.  They have been just sitting up there (not even collecting dust), so it is time to part with them.

All of them are complete (nothing cut out), though if there were add on booklets, they are not included -- very few were purchased new, so this is how I received them.  Most are in very good condition (see the Marukatsu note), if you want specific info on a certain magazine, let me know and I will supply it

Going price seems to be about $20-$25/issue, so I will just say a flat $20/issue plus shipping for whatever you want.  Priority will go to those wanting more magazines.  Would also be willing to trade for PS3 games.

Shipping on these is going to be a pain, I realize that; if you live somewhere between DC and Atlanta, we can arrange for a meeting to exchange.  Who knows, you might even get to play around with Hypernova Blast... or Xymati.

Here is the list:

PCEngine Fan

   1995 / 01-02, 04-07, 09-12

Dengeki PCEngine / Dengeki's G Engine
    1993 / 06
    1995 / 04, 10-11
    1996 / 03-12
    1997 / 02

Marukatsu PC Engine (not in the best shape, generally the cover sheet
is coming off, no internal damage)

Here is short video of some of the "forgotten" PCE Development efforts that were underway, but had been shelved for whatever reason (lack of time, lack of time, or perhaps lack of time).

It is not all of them, and in some case (like the Action Demo), the game was made as more of a proof of concept.
Included are:
   Action Demo
Rainbow Hopper (a Q-bert/Pogo Joe sort of game)
Xymati (title screen and early MGS prototype)
PC Gunjin (stage 1, sans enemies)
   a few others

Enjoy.

This is a Sample SCD made by Nimai Malle (or at least he made parts of it).  It has about a dozen (or so) HuVideo clips, and a Dr Mario Clone (Malle-O).  At least one of the clips (STADIUM) ended up as the opening to John Madden Football ....yup, that was HuVideo too.

Here is a youtube video I made of it.  You can even see my reflection in some of the shots because I'm too lazy/tired to re-shoot it and upload it.  Besides, it is close to Halloween.

As many of you know, back in 1993, TTI revealed the TurboDuo Intelligent Link -- this was a device that plugged into your Turbo Duo card slot, and allowed the CD drive to be used as a SCSI CD drive on a PC or Mac.  5 prototypes were developed before the project was scrapped.  Here are a few images of one of those prototypes.

As far as I know, no PC driver was ever developed, the included red disk was for a Mac (System 7) driver.

Okay, time to get creative here... I have a Super System card that basically no longer works.  I suspect that the RAM inside of it has gone bad since it works fine as a "CD System Card" but using it as a Super System Card does not work.

So what to do with it?

If I had a pair of them, my wife would be sporting the coolest earrings on this side of the Mississippi.  But, alas, I have only one, and making a necklace pendant out of it is just not the same.

I was considering taking a heat gun to it, and molding it to my car's back bumper, then attaching it as some sort of coolish bumper sticker.  But it would be too small to be seen by anyone unless you had hit me (no thanks).

So, what ideas do you have on how I can display the Super System card in homage for the world to see.. . .by using a real (albeit defunct) Super System Card?
