Quote from: greedostick on 12/21/2014, 01:13 AMIf these companies are not going to give us what we want, then we will do it ourselves, and keep these games alive for future generations to enjoy.

OK, I got a bit off topic there. But you all know what I mean.
Comrade: if you want to enjoy a fan translation/dub,  you can. But you don't need a pressed CD to do so.

And if you *really* can't deal with a "sharpie marker" (oh the great injustice!):

Personally, I am grateful for any translation/dub that simply *exists*...using a sharpie on a CD-R hardly seems the "great injustice" in comparison.

If you *insist* that you *must* have a pressed CD, then you are missing the entire spirit of the project

I still love you :)
I don't care either way. I merely stating why people want professional looking copies. It would be cool to have one, but if it never happens I wouldn't mind.

I have this controller

Hori Fighting Commander 6 button controller. I love it. The D-Pad and buttons feel like SNES ones.

If it doesn't go anywhere within the time it takes to get my effing tax $ I will probably be like "Yes." Cuz I've been teh wanting that game to complete my Bonk trilogy. And I like Bonk. Alot. And. Ever since I had my hands on a non-working copy, I've been upset-ish about not having it. *sigh*
Just get the PC Engine version. It has better art and is the same game. I guess I shouldn't be deflecting my own sales, but hell, it's the same game for almost 1/3 the price.

What's the WSOD?

The first thing I did was format the memory on the console when I received.

Here are some pictures of the card opened up. I used a thick nail file to pry the top off. The top has this super sticky adhesive holding it on. It's a standard CR2032 Lithium battery. I normally install holders in all my games but this one won't fit a holder obviously, and the tabs are spot welded to the batteries. I had to carefully take a knife and pull those tabs off without damaging them. I'm usually not one to use electrical tape, but it may be the best fix for these. Alternatively, I suppose you could take the tabs off and bend the tabs on a tabbed battery to fit.

I am definitely down to try and do this if possible. Problem is I am not the smartest when it comes to getting all this stuff to someone. Don't really know how. I already have 56 manuals in PDF format I am ready to share including Dracula X, Ys books 1 and 2, and a bunch of common american releases. I have some games I could scan... if I had a scanner. Including English Dynastic hero and a few others.

Here is the link to a good website with every issue of any turbo related magazine scanned and archived. Maybe I can get a hold of them and see if they will let us use there scans. Every scan has there logo inserted on it which makes me think maybe not.

I am sure I could get a few people on the www.neo-geo.com forums to help out also.

Anyone have any idea how much it would cost me to make my own website to archive all this stuff and have a forums there? I don'tknow much about having a webiste really.
