12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

Quote from: NightWolve on 12/11/2015, 12:32 PMHuh, still no esteban sighting... That's at least 2 and a half months he's gone MIA...
I hate when I go AWOL, too! :)

Another thing I despise: salt rotting holes in my car's exhaust pipe.

A week ago, I saw sparks flying (and heard metal grating) as my car's exhaust pipe freed itself from its shackles and scraped along the road. Thankfully La Policia did not pull me over for noise pollution.
I feel your pain.
They salt the roads to death here in the winter time and it does a number on our cars.

Even weirder, Ben Herman (who was previously head of SNK in the US) is associated with this.

Finally saw it.  Loved it.
I found the overall experience very enjoyable with plenty of surprises throughout.  Loved the appearances of the old actors too.

He seemed like a well grounded and positive sort of fellow.
Hope he comes back.

Final bump.
Any takers?

Quote from: grolt on 12/08/2015, 11:47 AMIs there some backstory for these laces, like was this a promo thing for the Turbo release of the game?
Yep.  Electronics Boutique gave them out as a promo in the early 1990's.
I grabbed them while picking up a value priced TG-16 game and forgot I had them until a recent move.  Still minty fresh and never worn!

$50 shipped would be great!

scroll up, there is someone offering you $50 for these. If that's too low then do what I told you and grade them. You will get more than $50 on ebay for them if these were graded.
I think that was more of a sarcastic offer.
I'm not going to grade these things.  Just figured I would offer them up for the community.

Hey all,

I have a brand new pair (never worn) of those neon orange Splatterhouse TG-16 shoelaces
Not sure what these are worth, but I may consider parting with them.

Is there any interest for these?

Please add me to the raffle.

I am thankful for the PC Engine and my friends.

I've been interested in the device, but I heard these are notorious for leaky caps.

It used to be Coke Zero.

But I've cut back on my soda consumption lately.  Now it's usually flavored waters or green tea.

Quote from: blueraven on 10/17/2015, 06:34 PMThe cafe up the road that doubled their prices, and the food is smaller. $11 for coffee and a short stack pancakes!??!?!

THAT SHIT COSTS .14c TO MAKE GOING TO THE STORE FUCK YOU
That is steep. For that much I can get full English in my favourite cafe. And that's London prices. What kind of place is this?
A place that charges $15-20 if you want two eggs and 2 slices of bacon with them pancakes. It was a cheap place in the 1970's, but now its "authentic": and overrun with hipsters.. I'll just cook, myself. A full English sounds damn good right now.
I feel for you.
There's a place here that I used to frequent often and the same damn thing has happened.
Increased prices and an influx of unwashed hipsters.

Do you require proof of age by way of a scan of one's drivers license or birth certificate prior to submitting an entry request?

I almost bought an 8 bit Mario amiibo today.
Target actually had one in stock.  However, upon closer inspection of the figure enclosed in the packaging, I could see some marking and staining on some of the plastic.

That said, I decided against purchasing this elusive figurine.

I hear that all the time when I'm out and about.

Crikey.

That's not a very flattering picture of Kennedy.
He looks like an OLD drunken sot that you'd see at the local bar.

The guy in the white shirt kind of reminds me of a human version of EARTHWORM JIM

Quote from: elmer on 09/19/2015, 01:17 PMBTW ... nice of them to say that the 3 "creators" will get paid $240,000 each out of the funding to pay them for their time.
And that right there is reason for me to not ever fund this.
No way are these douchebag hipsters getting any of my money.

My sealed copy of Monster Lair (PCE CDROM) finally arrived today.

I am somewhat relieved.
I thought this thread was about ME.

Quote from: NightWolve on 09/15/2015, 11:08 PMOh yeah, that shooter oddball on the NES by SquareSoft... The other out-of-character oddball they also did was Rad Racer which had pretty good replay value, I played it many times.
3D Worldrunner too

I have such fond memories of the 2600.
As much as I grew up playing the NES, I'll always be loyal to Atari since that was my first ever gaming console.

I happen to enjoy reading Nulltard's posts.
They're always entertaining, always unexpected, and usually quite profound.

Very well done.
Is the graphic silk screened onto the shirt?
How durable do you think it is (ie: any peeling or fading after the first few washes)?
#135
Wow what a generous raffle.
I'd be honored if you enter me for this item.

I like how that real life Bonk character actually head butts that unsuspecting showgoer at 1:06

Kind of cool seeing actual live footage of CES stuff that I only previously remember in EGM mag pictures.   THe NEC NID device in particular.

Good god is Keira Knightley ghastly in this film.

Quote from: Nulltard on 08/23/2015, 11:03 AMPrice on TurboExpress+Turbovision lowered to $150. Next stop: feebay  :(
These don't play PCE games natively, do they?
#140
Please add me to the raffle.
I've always loved the 1989 era TG16 box art.
#141
I got myself a clean and nearly new 13 inch TV (with built in VHS player) for $5.98 at Goodwill today.
I'll use it as a dedicated PCE and NES display device.

If we could somehow build one of those 'text-to-speech' programs that utilizes the voice actor from FIGHTING STREET!!!

You know the mumbly / Engrishy dude that narrates such classical lines such as "What strength, but there are many more fighters like you all ovah da world".

Just imagine the hilarity that would ensue whenever you'd have the utility read out one of Nulltard's profound posts!  Or how about using it to narrate some noob's drama ridden passages?  The possibilities are endless!

Thoughts and opinions, kind sirs?

I was a Starbucks this morning just catching up on work emails.  There were a bunch of rich housewives at the table near me.  The nonsense that they were talking about was truly mind blowing.  Truly first world problems and neither were happy with their lot in life -- all of them were complaining about petty nonsense or others.

Sad really.
You can't leave us like that. What were they discussing?
Just really pointless and inane garbage mostly.  What their nannies do.  How their kids have all these mystery allergies and ailments.  How they have to wait in line at Whole Foods.  Stuff that most of us don't even have on our radars.

Anyone heard anything?
I noticed that the Halo 5 bundle on Amazon still has the original hulking console design.  I'm kind of holding out for a more compact redesign before I pull the trigger.

Are there any news/rumors about a possible design change anytime soon?  I'm not fully up to speed on the latest console gen, so thanks in advance.
#145
I watched the first 2 "Ip man" movies.
I hear there's a 3rd on the way.

Off-Topic / Saver or spender?
08/11/2015, 09:45 PM
I'd say I definitely fall into the category of saver.
I fund my 401k at work, I invest in my IRA, and I dabble in various investments on the side.  That said, I do love the occasional treat or toy, but I think I would freak out if I ever lived paycheck-to-paycheck.

Just curious how the majority of the site classifies?

Five Guys without a doubt! 1 order of fries can feed a family of four lol
Indeed, good sir.

You know you've had a great meal when you leave Five Guys reeking of greasy beefy goodness!
