Kind of an odd product tie-in.
I do recall my Landstalker cartridge and manual smelling like artificial strawberry for some time.

Great game, but damn is it short!
Lots of fun.
Quote from: guest on 04/08/2015, 03:54 PMI loved the game and it's realistic day/night, weight and food elements.Quote from: SuperGrafx on 04/07/2015, 08:55 PMSuper Hydlide on the Sega Genesis was notoriously bad, but the soundtrack was varied and phenomenal.Notoriously bad by people who were too stupid to read the manual and play the game, you mean.
Shadow of the Beast is an average game with awesome tunes.

Quote from: cjameslv on 03/09/2015, 12:49 AMWhere did YOU learn to fly?Quote from: SuperGrafx on 03/07/2015, 07:01 PMPretty sure they its 2x 32bit chips not a 64bit and the jaguar version was the best hands down until ps1 released theirs. Still is is an amazing take on it. Vibrant colors, crisp graphics and a good soundtrack. It's the only game i play on my jag although it did come with cybermorph...but lets not talk about that.Quote from: cjameslv on 03/06/2015, 05:13 PMI was never impressed with the Jaguar's version of Raiden.Quote from: guest on 03/06/2015, 05:00 PMOh man how could you say such things! The visuals are amazing, unless your talking about the right side bar that does indeed take up a large amount of real estate.Quote from: cjameslv on 03/06/2015, 02:27 PMIt's a remake, not a port.Quote from: CGQuarterly on 02/11/2015, 05:09 PM...I think I am a lot like you in that it only really takes one good game to give me a reason to buy a system...I am the same. I own a jaguar because of raiden. I have it with a scart rbg cable to my sony bvm and that in it self is just an amazing experience with the best raiden port ever made (yeah ps1 is nice too but those loading times).
I believe that the PSX and FM Towns versions actually use the arcade's graphics.
Raiden was one of the reasons I got a Jaguar the second time, but I found that I don't like that version's visuals.
For all the hype and potential that we were promised about 64-bit power, this version is STILL lacking in many ways. It should have been arcade perfect, but alas, we were given a Euro-ized interpretation (which I believe originated on the Atari Falcon PC) that falls short.

Quote from: ParanoiaDragon on 03/02/2015, 03:02 AMPioneer Chicken, there's only a few left in the US, all the rest now are in China. I mainly used to get the fish n' chips. It was right down the street from my house.BisQUits?
Quote from: guest on 02/23/2015, 04:45 PMI remember a few beverages that're gone (Surge, Crystal Pepsi, Zima, Orbitz, etc.), but I can't say I miss any of them.I've found Necco products (ie: Skybars, Clark bars, Necco Wafers) at Dollar Tree and Five Below stores here in the south.
For food stuffs, I miss Necco wafers and Clove/Blackjack/Beemans gum; they're still made, but I generally don't buy food online or visit hipster candy stores. I also miss the old chili cheese burritos from Taco Bell; you can still get 'em, but I think the chili is a bit different nowadays and no fritos.

Quote from: Mishran on 02/21/2015, 08:40 PMAnyone remember the Nintendo cereal from the late 80's? Two half size bags of different cereal types per box. Great idea at the time, too bad it never stuck.Yes, I do.
Quote from: mitsuman on 02/11/2015, 10:21 PMShit on a shingle is actually cream chipped beef on toast...great now I'm hungry for cream chipped beef on toast.Even though it looks like pastrami coated with a generous slathering of Elmer's Glue, I too am hungry for creamed chipped beef on toast!
Quote from: esadajr on 02/10/2015, 05:30 PMcause, sure, why not?it just dawned on me that I have one of those beige/black Atari joysticks.
