12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

Almost never.
I did see a random loose Hucard (Taking it to the Hoop, I believe) at a Goodwill once.  It was just sat out on a random shelf along with housewares and various other kitchen utensils.
#252
How much did that Puyo Puyo XB One game go for?
#253
You know what I always wanted?

Those robotic arm things that you controlled with twin joysticks.  Anyone remember those?
Radio Shack was famous for that product!

Quote from: wildfruit on 02/08/2015, 07:57 AMMy mum said dinner at 1pm. I'm here its 1pm. Dinner is not ready.
1pm?
Who the heck eats dinner at 1pm??
Well, except for the elderly...that's what they call the early bird special.

Quote from: SignOfZeta on 02/08/2015, 05:22 PMI wish I could just go into a store and buy a thing.
Me too.
That's why I'll always try to buy something at a brick-and-mortar store as opposed to amazon or some online store whenever possible.

There's something to be said about seeing, touching and instantly acquiring an item as opposed to waiting days for it to appear in some generic cardboard box on your doorstep

Quote from: guest on 02/07/2015, 10:10 PMMore evidence supporting the launch-trio theory? The other two games below Victory Run are japanese (the NEC AV and Hudson Soft logos!), the only games appearing on the ad are Victory Run, Legendary Axe and Keith Courage (with mock up art instead of the real deal). Pointing the obvious but if the early ads only had these games to show off, that could mean something maybe?
And don't forget, VIGILANTE and ALIEN CRUSH are in the main advertisement!

VIGILANTE is given center-stage, but we see two big "shards" of ALIEN CRUSH.

:)

Who can figure out the two PCE games underneath the mock-up of Victory Run?

10 points each.

EDIT: I identified both of them. BUT YOU CAN STILL QUIZ YOURSELF. Go to the website for the answers.
I think Fantasy Zone was one of the games underneath the Victory Run mockup

Add me to the raffle list please.
Oddly enough, I do not own these yet.

Hey, you're welcome! :D
It seemed to take longer than I expected for the delivery.  Either way, glad it arrived.  Please enjoy it.

Agreed.

The one thing that truly sets me off is when I see the word "LOOSE" used instead of "LOSE"
Argh, so annoying!

Nice setup.
You need an Xbox of some type in there though.
#262
I'll give it a good home.

Radio Shack in the 1980's was nirvana.
Who can forget all those cool lcd handheld games they carried, the 'free battery of the month" promo, and the ever popular Whiz Kids comic book that they produced (to advertise Tandy computers and whatnot)?

Those were magical times.  Times we'll likely never see again in our lifetimes... :(

This is the same exact thing that happened to me with my copy of World Court Tennis (US)!!!

Same here!

Nothing beats a snowy Saturday afternoon.  All the more reason to stay inside and play video games.

Quote from: cr8zykuban0 on 02/01/2015, 01:02 AMthis may be off topic but I hate when people ask if I go to school ( as in college) and when I say no, they flip out. they always make it seem like my life will be nothing without college. they fail to understand that college is not for everyone and at this point in my life, its not for me. they act like me not going to school negatively affects their life.

peoples be too much in my business yo!!!
No this is what it's all about. I didn't go to university either and I still managed to find a well paid job without the debts of studying.
same here. i was thankful enough to be hired at a 5 star hotel working as a runner, basically delivering items to hotel guest. theres more to the job like making inventory for item lockers, sorting out inventory that we order, and also cleaning or making beds, fridges, cribs and humidifiers that we bring to the guests. Overall, it s a good paying job, great benefits, good tips and i love it.
That's great.
But at some point you may find that a lack of a degree could hinder progress towards a higher paying position.
My company recently instituted a degree requirement in order to qualify for any higher pay grade positions.

Not judging you, just some advice is all.
#267
I don't pre-order

Quote from: VenomMacbeth on 01/31/2015, 11:29 AMShit, I remember Kaybee.  They only shut down what, a decade ago?  I seem to recall their vidja games always being a tad overpriced...
No sir.
They sort of invented the bargain bin.

Kaybee was infamous for having clearance NES games during the system's heyday.  Who doesn't remember seeing multiple copies of Galaga, ALpha Mission and Raid on Bungeling Bay hung up behind the register with the infamous price tags that had "$19.99" written on it with red ink?

I can still remember bins absolutely full or now rare titles like Sega CD "Snatcher" marked down to ridiculous prices or Atari Jaguar systems for $49?  If only I had a time machine...
#269
These are really cool buttons!
I'd love one with either the PC Engine logo or the old circular "CD ROM2 System" icon

Kaybee Toys at the mall.
Summer of 1990 I believe.

There's supposed to be a waffle somewhere in that mess. Am I in now ? [-o<
That's the most vile looking waffle I've ever seen.
What the heck is that?  Cream gravy with meat chunks?
#272
I wish they would just spell it correctly.  ANALOG...not "ANALOGUE"
What's with the extra letters anyway?  Never understood why it's COLOUR instead of COLOR.  Or just plain old CHECK instead of CHEQUE.

So overcomplicated for no reason.

Soon, you might see a post in this thread from my coworkers saying "I despise the guy who can't go 10 minutes without Lysoling every goddamn thing in the room."
people are filthy pigs. Most of them don't wash their hands, and, of those, most have a gaggle of children raised to intermingle with other kids and not wash their hands.

it is a miracle ebola has not taken us all.
Dude, the number of people I see walk straight out of the bathroom right from the urinal without washing they hands staggers my mind.  I'm not a germaphobe, but I rarely touch any public door fixture without gloves on or something.
I know, right.
And they seem so blatant about it too.  Come right out of a stall and merrily walk back to work without so much as even rinsing their hands off.

General Gaming / Re: Atari 7800?
01/27/2015, 09:35 PM
I do recall that the 7800 version of Commando is far superior to the NES edition.

The graphics and colors seem more arcade-like and you don't get those weird scrolling sprite glitches that the early NES Capcom games were known for.

The last good anime series I felt compelled to watch was "Mezzo"

It's basically just 3 DVD's worth for the entire run.  Nothing overly mind blowing, but good solid fun.

I was checking out the Amazon Originals series "Transparent" last night.
Apparently amazon had the entire season up for free viewing to commemorate some Emmy award or something.
Actually pretty good.
#280
Good luck.
I tried buying one not too long ago.  No sellers whatsoever.

What a mess.
Glad I didn't support this moron.

Btw - this is currently on hold for a week or 2.

I really dislike those really low cut ankle socks.
They feel weird when you wear them.

Price dropped to $90 shipped

I'd really like to keep this off eBay if possible.
Thanks!
#287
More importantly, do the people who buy these things store them on shelves with pride?  For everyone to see?

Hmm...somehow I'd have reservations about that.

There's a sequel coming up, so I want to wrap this one up before the new games arrives.

Wow, that's great! Instant collection!
Now you just need that Darius game that's enhanced for SuperGrafx.
#290
Possibly.
Let me see if there are any other offers first.
#291
I may be interested.
What do you think the ballpark cost will be for one shirt?

Dude, that series was great. I haven't really watched it since 80's, though. OLD WHITE DUDE IS TOUGH AS ____ (whatever).

I wish more shows featured older folks in main roles. I don't need 99% of movies/film filled with young folks.

:)
Yes indeed!
The main character in the classic series is like a modern day mild-mannered ninja.
Albeit with gray hair and less flashy moves.
But still, a great series nonetheless.
#294
Nobody has one to spare?
#295
Idk.  I've seen these for sale in various stores and I just can't get excited about them.
I guess I'm not much of a collectard for figures.
#296
As the title states, I'd like one as complete and minty as possible.
Brand new would be even nicer! :)
#297
I stopped into a goodwill this evening and was shocked by the vast selection of tube crt's on sale.
I think the most expensive one clocked in around $12.95!

I'm thinking of picking up a spare or two for my PCE setups.

In addition, I'm pretty sure that Utlima III: Exodus beat Dragon Warrior to the market by several months here in the US.
It's just that DW was promoted like crazy by Nintendo in issues of Nintendo Power leading up to its release.  They even printed a pseudo clue book in one of their issues.  That made all the difference.  And I thoroughly enjoyed this game with my friends back in 1989.
