I'm trying to find a new 8 pin din for the controller input for the turbo grafx 16, I already have my old one off the PCB.  Any know where to find direct fit replacements?

I haven't looked, but just in general I'd think one of these suppliers should (might) have one:

- mouser
- digi-key
- jameco

Let me know if they don't and I'll look into it...

This one looks close, but I am not sure if it will work..

The problem I am having, is that I am finding the 8 pin din right angle PCB mount female connectors, it's just that the pins where they mount into the PCB seem slightly different..  I am having a hard time telling if it's going to work or not with the pictures that I have..

Hmm... I see what you mean. The pin configuration does appear to be different. Perhaps an email or instant messaging, etc with one of the companies could give you further information.

I'm not very familiar with right angle dins so I don't know what all the pin options are...

I have these if you want one, the front 5 pins fit into the regular holes and obviously you just need to break the bottom bits off the back 3 pins or drill holes in the board for them to go through. The only problem is the two little pins at the front that just hold the socket in ARE in different places to the board. I've never found a single socket that fits those perfectly and I've bought from loads of suppliers. All you need to do is break them off, and if you need to reinforce the socket just use the glue I use (pm me for info on the only glue I'd ever recommend to hold in sockets.)
