Hey guys! Some of you are aware of the series I produce, "My Retro Life", which uses old home movie clips of my collecting days in the 90s.
Well, the latest episode (link above) in the series is all on the TurboGrafx, and more specifically, tells the story of how I came to own and collect for my TurboDuo in 1995.

It is with great joy that I get to share these memories with you, the hardcore Turbo fans. Hope you enjoy!

Hey guys,

I realize I'm not a regular poster (and that it's most often to sell something from my collection or talk about a video I made) but I really wanted to share with you my first Turbo review in some time.
This is a game that has always fascinated me because of how charming yet difficult it is. Over the years I always find myself returning for a play despite knowing I won't get far. Hopefully the video captures that haha.

I wish everyone well and hope you enjoy the video. Hopefully I can make a better effort at posting on this forum just about Turbo love!

Feedback is always welcome.

Thanks

Tyler

NOTE: The initial price on this was way too high. I have since lowered it to a starting bid of .99 to be completely fair. Thanks.

Parting is such sweet sorrow but I realized I'm content with just owning my Duo.

I've had this practically brand new TurboGrafx-16 sitting in storage for YEARS. I only had it hooked up for a brief period before I put it back in it's box. Comes with everything (including Keith's Courage) but the printed materials it came with originally. Not sure where those went to.  :-k

Hoping it goes to a great Turbo collector. Recently sold my Camp California with some help from the guys here. Thanks again everyone.

Hey guys,

I'm looking to part ways with my Camp California for the TurboDuo. I'm not a completionist by any means and I recently realized that the value / rarity of this title has really jumped up in recent years (along with general Turbo value).

I was wondering if any of you could help me in determining a value. It recently sold for a whopping $650 with 23 people bidding on eBay. WOW. Still, I'm uncertain if that is on the high end or even low end of the spectrum.

Here are some pics:

I'm strongly considering listing this on Ebay. I'm not a price gouger, but in all honestly, my Dad passed away back in 2007, and this is part of what he left behind. He and I collected games in the 90s hardcore.

I am open to a really fair trade offer, as I'm still an active collector (still many Turbo games I'm missing that I'd love to own).

Anyways guys, I appreciate any feedback you can give me on determining a value. Thank you.

Hey guys! A while back I posted my retrospective on Air Zonk and Super Air Zonk. Well I'm continuing that series with a Super Nintendo entry - the notorious Jerry Boy (Smart Ball in the US)

This was Game Freak's second video game after Mendel Palace on the NES, and it's always been a favorite ever since I owned the Japanese original. I was SHOCKED to find out the US localization had removed the game's entire storyline! Sad really.

Marc from "My Life in Gaming" joins me in the discussion. Hope you enjoy the video. Feedback GREATLY appreciated. Thanks guys.

Hello TURBO fans! My name is Tyler and I run a YT channel and website called iretrogamer.com (formerly Sega Channel).

I know this is my first post here, but I'd really love to share with you the Air Zonk / Super Air Zonk retrospective we released recently. It's the first episode of our rebranded "VH1" style documentary show Game Scan TV. Previously we were an all SEGA channel but we've recently rebranded so we can talk about all the retro games we love, including the TurboGrafx-16.

Here's a link to the video:
I hope you guys enjoy the retrospective. Feedback is greatly appreciated. Air Zonk is absolutely one of my most favorite shooters. I actually have quite a fondness for Super Air Zonk as well.

I'm looking forward to being apart of this community here. So many awesome memories with my TG16 and Duo. Thanks guys!
