@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Looking for JUST the CD unit. I don't need an interface unit or system card. I'm not in a hurry, since I already have other CD set-ups. I'd just like to have the original Turbo-CD set-up. I'm the exact opposite of Bernie I guess.

Only Music Survives by Alba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-You must have been a member of PCEngineFX since at least sometime in 2009. This is to prevent any n00bs who post stupid threads from entering.

Congratulations to burn_654 (sent!)! A last day entry spoiled the rest.

PM me with your address.

Not to be outdone completely be Sadler (although his Air Zonk beats anything I am giving away), I have two loose Turbografx-16 games to give away.

This one is for Alien Crush. I had previously one this in a lot of games raffled by Glazball back in March. So now it is someone else's chance in the OBEY community to get their fingerprints on this one.

Here are the stipulations:
-you must not have a hard copy of this game
-must have been a member here for 6 months and have had 50 posts. You can PM me if you want a reasonable exception.
-I've been out of university and job hunting for a couple months. I'm going to be stingy and ask for $4 for shipping(either $1.29 or $2.10, I forget)/CD mailer($1.99). That should cover everywhere in Canada/USA. Gift through Paypal.
-I'll do the draw next Thursday. If I don't think enough people have entered, then I'll do it the next Monday.
-You must have a type of Turbografx/PC Engine/Vistar to play this on. When you enter, let me know which NEC console(s) you have any why in the world you don't have this game yet. If you don't have an console to play this on, explain why not and what plans you have set in place to get one. You must OBEY.

Have fun! :)

So, it has recently come to my attention that Alien Soldier was originally developed for the PC Engine. Why it was switched to the Mega Drive... well, I can only imagine how much Sega paid of Sega to get it as a Mega Drive exclusive. If only...

Buy/Sell/Trade / PC Engine GT
07/04/2010, 12:19 AM
PC Engine GT
-GT unit (has the common sound issue(can hear it with good headphones), and the video takes a while to warm up)  Basically, it needs the caps replaced
-TV Tuner (works fine!)
-AC adapter

Bought from a Hard-Off in Saitama 8 months ago and used a fair bit (with giant headphones on the train!).  It came with the TV Tuner.  The AC adapter was bought from Trader #2 in Akihabara right before they moved to games to the other store.  There really is not much profit being made here!

Yeah, a bit of a noobie questions, but I do own (or have owned) a PC Engine, Core Grafx, GT, Super CD-ROM2 and a PC-FX, so I'm not completely green!

Anyway, I just picked up a Core Grafx/CD-ROM2/Interface Unit set.  The CG has everything, but the Interface unit just came as is.  The AV obviously isn't an issue, but the AC is.  I figured I could just use the regular PCE (or Mega Drive) AC adapter with it asks for 9V negative in, just like the PCE.  Unfortunately, it doesn't fit.  Thanks NEC...  So, am I right in assuming that I've got to hunt down an AC adapter now?

edit...

Oh... the IFU-30 is 1450 mA, while the PCE is 650mA.  Still, the Mega Drive one is 1200mA and works on the PCE.  It's too bad the plug won't fit into the IFU-30.

I'll be PSU hunting I guess.
