I recently set up my SuperGrafx with a briefcase CDrom2 and can't figure out what the pair of black rubber caps that came with the RAU-30 adapter are used for ?  I'm sure the answer is obvious but just not to me. :oops:  I googled and searched here but didn't find an answer.  Also, the instructions don't illustrate anything and I don't read Japanese.  Thanks in advance.

One of these I'll check in my RAU-30 box and see if I have those as well. I don't recall ever seeing them. I bought mine brand new, so if I ever had them, they should still be in the box. I wonder if whomever you bought that from didn't just throw them in by mistake.

Initially I thought this but after some searching, I found that some eBay auctions also included them.

They're caps for your nipples. 

Once you start playing a full on SGX+CD setup, you will find them perking up in excitement, and in need of shelter that only PCE related products can give..

Yeah, I tried fitting them on but unfortunately they're not my nipple size. :P

Seriously, I still haven't figured out what they're used for.  Anyone know?

They are intended as a protection for the 2 stereo plugs from the av cable, since you are instead using those from the ifu when using the rau-30

Awesome, thanks for letting us know.  That makes sense and I didn't even consider that idea. 

After many years, I can finally get some sleep and not contemplate anymore on what the mystery of these caps were used for. :D
