Title: Strange Hu-Card problem
Post by: Mathius on 07/30/2011, 11:00 PM
I just recently picked up Final Soldier off eBay for the PCE. I plug it into my adapter, then into my Turbo CD and I get sound but no graphics. If I hit "RUN" I get a flash of light but then back to blank screen. To narrow down the problem I try it in my SuperGrafx...same exact problem. The Huey looks okay, but has minor label damage. Any ideas?

Sounds like a glithced out hu card but you can try the following things first. https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=10058.0

I will try to find some 99% alcohol and try that.

The huey didn't have a sleeve included and it was wrapped in bubble wrap inside the case. Could this be a problem caused by static?

I have gotten some used hu cards in the past where even using a qtip and rubbing alcohol wouldn't cut it alone. I had to use an old tooth brush with the rubbing alcohol to really get the dirt off.

The Hu Card doesn't look dirty to me. Maybe it doesn't have to?

I've used the toothbrush and alcohol trick myself.  Matter of fact, its what I use on all my HuCard games now when I get a new one in.  Wouldnt hurt to try it.
