The game you like even though everyone thinks is less than average, or just bad. We'll rule out Keith Courage because this is for sure a guilty pleasure of most TG16 owners.
Mine is Takin it to the Hoop. It's not great by any means, but it reminds me of a goofier Double Dribble. I wish you could make quarters shorter, though.
I really like Vigilante, It's a pretty average game but there something about it. Probably cus I got it for Christmas than ran up and beat it the same day.
Whenever I'm having a bad day, I like to pop in Power Golf.
Devil's Crush. Easy to pick up and play for 5 min or an hour or so.
World Court Tennis
Deep Blue!
For me its Tailspin. I remember renting the game as a kid and enjoying it, and playing it today I still kinda like it.

I like Vigilante as well. It is what it is a, mindless Kung-Fu clone, but I always like to fire it up every once in awhile and play through it.
Yo Bro.
World Class Baseball, especially when they say "Out!" or "Safe!". The digital voices sound so much like a muffled ogre it ain't even funny.
This game doesn't get a lot of love around here, but mine is Dragon Spirit. The music is very soothing, and it's a good shooter IMO. Perfect way to spend 30 mins or so.
Growing up, I spent way too much time playing with the Wizards against the Outlaws (and other various teams) on TV Sports Basketball... Out of the TV Sports series, it was by far my favorite... and I actually preferred it to EA's basketball option at that time... however, even I would admit that Madden >> TV Sports Football and NHL > TV Sports Hockey...
Blazing Lazers. Since it requires a lot of concentration and builds up slowly to a lightning pace, it's a great game to center yourself.

Umm... Blazing Lazers is liked by pretty much everyone here, LOL! Definitely not less than average. One of the best shmups the T-16 has to offer.
Turrican. Fuck the haters. :P

Word!
Mine has to be Cyber Core. Something about killing giant bugs while in a ship that shanges was cool. Most people I know hate the game too, sadly.
TG: King of Casino.
PCE: Faceball
The reason I like the Turbografx is because half the library consists of guilty pleasures. There's nothing on the system like Ninja Turtles; it's all weird ass shit that's kind of awesome. Amen to Turrican, Yo Bro, TV Sports Basketball, Deep Blue, Cyber Core!

I'm not joking, the user I first thought about when making the thread was you.
TV Sports Football. I don't like football as a sport or football games in general but I had a lot of fun playing multi-player TV sports football.

J.J. & Jeff or China Warrior, for sure. Like both of 'em, lots!

Thats because we're talking about games, not practical jokes.
China Warrior and Energy. Duh?

Never heard anyone bash Cyber Core, I think it's a good Shooter as well.

China Warrior is a great game. I could play it all day.
oh wait, I have before.

Yeah, Cyber Core used to be one of my guilty pleasures years ago... it was one of the first shooters that drew me in during my childhood... it was also pretty fun with interesting graphics (not just planes/helicopters/tanks)... but the last level was simply pure evil... can't believe I kept my sanity while playing.
Quote from: guest on 11/02/2011, 09:35 AMHatris, fuck yeah!
Hell Yes, I totally forgot about Hatris. That game is awesome and very funny in it's own weird way. The fact that the hats basically burst into flames on the dudes heads is totally insane and very weird. Love it. Bizarre as it is.
Mine is Impossimole. I've heard it described as a pretty horrible game, and I admit it has a lot of problems. But when it first came out, I loved it and persevered all the way through. To this day, I still pull it out every now and then and manage to enjoy it.

But, it's a guilty pleasure for me because I could play it for hours and it makes me forget about everything else. That's why I cannot play it if I have something to do that day....

Remember playing that on the Commodore 64, didn't know it came out for the Turbo. I wonder if it has better music than the Commodore 64 version...

its the same arp filled nonsense you'd expect from any European.
THe second video is tolerable. But the games intro music is frigging awful
I'd have to say mine is Klax. It's a fun game, but could have been a lot better if the sound effects weren't so grating.

Heh, my favorite part of the game is the clack of the tiles coming down the conveyor belt, the 'sproing' sound of an empty tile holder thingy, the scream of a plummeting tile, and the 'awwww' of the audience when you mess up.

Yeah, but considering that they tried to ape the Amiga version, it could be worse. The Amiga version's music is fun and the intro sounds tons better.

Yeah, I guess I didn't word that very clearly. I love the sound effects themselves, but they are sampled in a way that they are hard to listen to. I love it when a brick falls off and screams and the audience goes "awwww..."
