Ok, the sexiest game console thread was a hit, so lets see your opinions on the butt ugliest. My top 5 are:
1. Snes (us version): its really really ugly
2. Original xbox: sorry xbox lovers, its big, bulky, and butt ugly
3. Playstation 3: looks like something you wedge your door open with
4: nintendo 64: ok ok the transparent colored ones are pretty decent, but the base model is just nasty
5: master system 2: what were they thinking does not even scratch the surface
My wifes pick for uglies is the game gear.
1. Anything with a bajillion buttons - see the RCA Studio II or Oddyssey2
2. Anything trying to masquerade as a A/V component (except the LA, which pulls it off nicely) - see the CDi or Tandy VIS
3. Bandai Playdia
As for the N64, I don't think it's all that bad. Y'all may not like the 'normal' version released here, but at least it's not as homely and cumbersome as the iQue version in China.

I'd have to go with the good ol "some parts are nasty yellow and some are still beige" US SNES. I do like the SFC design though.
Honorable mentions go to the original PS3, and any other system with a glossy black finish. It looks nice if you don't touch it, but it's going to get fingerprinted/scratched to hell before long.
The 3ds has a nice visual design, but it bugs me that mine has pretty much NEVER looked new because of the fingerprints. You can clean them off, but they are back instantly, argh!
Master System 1 without a doubt (and even its Japanese cousin...teh Mark 3). I love the games on it but it is just the ugliest fucking thing. I really can't understand how the marketing department signed off on that one.

This. My PSP is no longer black, it's
fingerprints - that's it's color now. The phat PS3 is still much better than the Slim, though. It just looks cheap. bland & boring. Of course, the colored variants actually look pretty good but that standard, black one? No sir.
Otherwise, there are a lot of really old consoles that look pretty bad to me, you know, the oldest ones...Atari...Odyssey and the such. I know I might need a flame shield for that one. But I will need an even bigger one for what I'm about to say right now; I think the Supergrafx is pretty bad looking. It looks oversized, overdesigned, unpractical and on top of that, very plastic-y - I'd like to have one because of what it can do but certainly not for it's look.

Edit: Oh yeah, I just remembered that Viewmaster Interactive Vision-thing from one of the sales threads. That wins, hands down.
