Exactly my point; copying a digital file on a DVD/CD/whatever is not at all analogous to photocopying paper money.
Curses :(

Hi. I'd like to speak to someone about funding, but this is the only email address I can find. I'd be grateful if you could provide me an email contact inside your organisation. Thanks for your time.

to me
Tom,
What type of funding are you referring to?
Suzanne
Hi Suzanne
I'd like to fund your organization. Would you be able to point me in
the right direction?

Tom,
As a trade association for the motion picture industry the MPAA receives
its funding from the 6 major motion picture studios and does not accept
funding from outside sources.
Thank you for your interest

true, but this responce is every bit as valid as the 2 organizations in the country which combined represent the mass majority of the money in the US, demanding that they are owed several times all the cash in circulation, as they would have received it were there no internet.

This.
While the idea is funny, I agree it doesn't make sense. You purchase a digital download with real money. They won't stop until something is done about it cuz in a way, they are being cheated out of money. I'm in no way defending them, cuz I rather someone DL my bands album and listen to it and tell ppl about it, as opposed to not shelling out $10 and missing out on good music.
well said gogan
the price of the CD is a large deterant for most people.
they will do far better at live shows, it poeple know their music, and dont feel (ripped off) when they hear it.
