Title: Magazine Index - Excel download
Post by: SuperPlay on 06/03/2012, 09:40 AM
Hi Folks

Over the past few months I have created a rough and ready excel spreadsheet that lists the contents of the magazines that I have either owned or have downloaded from the interweb.  I find this handy when I am looking for a review etc for a particular game.

As others may also find this useful .... or not as the case may be ;-) I have uploaded it for all to share.

The spreadsheet has the following sections:

C+VG (UK)
Duo World (US)
EGM (US)
Turbo Force (US)
Turbo Play (US)

When I get some more time I will start on the Japanese titles that I own!

Grab it here!

Download (https://www.tg-16.com/superplay/MISC/Magazine_Index.xls)

I would be interested if anyone has scans of any of the magazines that I am missing.

A big thank you to esteban for hosting the file.

No comments.  Does this mean that there is no interest in this?

My ancient (but legal) version of Excel won't open it, but it sounds like a pretty nifty idea to me.

I was able to open it in LibreOffice (http://www.libreoffice.org/), a free, open-source alternative to Microsoft Office.  You can try that. :)

LibreOffice is a fork of OpenOffice.  When Oracle purchased Sun (and therefore OpenOffice) a number of the primary developers left and created LibreOffice.  It's currently much more active in development and is better supported.

I have re-uploaded the file saved in the older excel file format :@)  So if you download it again you should be OK now

You could upload it to google docs and share it, that way, people can always see the latest revisions.
