I admit, I only heard about the TG in passing and didn't even know at what point it came out. Call it oblivious to the system. I wasn't much of a gamer back then, but I was sort of surprised when I found out that NEC spelled it Turbo Grafx and it was pronounced Graphics.

I used to work at a Soft Etc back in the day, and one time this hippie looking couple came in and asked me if I sold the "Sega Jennifer." My co-worker and I practically died on the spot and we kept going "what system did you want?" We finally got them a Sega Genesis but oh gawd that almost killed us! I could make a movie on all the characters we ran into.

Couldn't be any worse than a guy bringing a box full of Atari 2600 games to sell back in the early 2000s when I worked at Hastings. We had tell him either sell them on ebay or go to a pawn shop. What was really odd about the fellow he had a pet goat (it even had a bell too lolz) that shit on the floor and I had to clean it up.

When I worked in a call center (and this is a slightly tenuous link) we used to get all kinds phoning up.  One of them was a very Welsh man, who wanted help setting up a couple of Bluetooth headsets.

I introduce myself and he says: "Now me and my partner, we've both got blue teeth..."  'course he then realised what he'd just said, but I had to resist advising him not to chew pens.

I'm not a doctor or anything, but yeah, I do know what autism is and you've struck me as the Asperger's sort for a while now. The fact that you didn't have enough normal human intuition to instantly know that "Grafx" was a hip and cool (ie: not hip or cool) way to spell "graphics" is perhaps the most tell tell sign yet.

For what its worth, you do a very good job of going through the motions, in the grand scheme of things, and you've integrated yourself into internet society quite well. In places like Digital Press or GameFAQs, nobody would even know you are afflicted. Maybe soon you will start to understand the jokes on Seinfeld.
