I need an arcade stick for my newly modded XBOX. It doesn't necessarily need to be optimized for fighters. I just need something to make the MAME experience more authentic, plus I don't care for the XBOX controller.
...It took MS over ten years to finally fix that horrible D-Pad and when they do they make you buy a more expensive controller while the old D-Pad design remains alive and well on the regular priced controllers. Ugh!
....sorry about that mini-rant.
Crap, you know there used to be this one arcade stick that was wood based and built by Pelican. I know they made it for Xbox and Ps2 both or something. I used to buy them and gut it and use it for Supergun stuff. The build was great if you dont mind using american style sticks instead of the Japanese ball tops.

Thanks! I don't have a preference on stick design as long as it is comfortable and accurate.
Well, they definitely were solid sticks, and very serviceable if you needed to swap out buttons or whatever. This is one right here, but for Gamecube. Will give you a idea of how they look anyway.

Sweet! For $50 that is an awesome looking stick! Hope it is still there in two weeks (payday).
The only arcade sticks I have I can use on most consoles fine.

Where can the adapters be found?

Yeah those Pelican sticks are really nice after you swap the buttons out with some happs ones. The fact that they're universal makes them all the better too.

Is that the PowerConsole's bastard offspring?
If you don't mind some work, I'd recommend getting an Xbox 360 Hori or Madcatz arcade stick and putting in a "TE Kitty" or "Multi-console Cthulhu" board from http://www.godlikecontrols.com (http://www.godlikecontrols.com). They're made by a member of the Shoryuken.com forums. With that in your stick you can make cables for other consoles out of extension cables. The board supports original Xbox and our beloved PCE, along with PS1,2,3, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Saturn, NES, SNES and I think also 3DO, I'm not sure as I don't personally use that one, plus you'd have the stick's original Xbox 360 compatability. I particularly like it for PCE, although it has some issues when trying to use it through a multitap.
Which button is to reload. :P

I second this, i nabbed a madcatz SE stick off craigslist and slapped one of those puppies in, and never looked back.
