To help bring everyone together, I've decided to hold a raffle. The prize is the Japanese import PC Engine Super CD version of Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes. It's a landmark RPG with phenomenal music. Sadly, the game is missing the obi (also known as a "spine card" to heretical gaijin).
There are a few basic requirements to enter the raffle for Dragon Slayer. It's also missing the map, by the way.
RAFFLE RULES:
1. There must be at least 5 entrants, or the raffle entry period will be extended by one week.
2. Raffle entry period ends at midnight Central Standard Time on Sunday, August 18, 2012.
3. There is no post count minimum, but you must have been a PCEFX member for longer than me.
4. You're allowed to swear.
5. Bonus entries!! You may complete two of the following "bonus" tasks for extra perks. Note that you can only get UP TO TWO bonus entries. If you do three of these things, you will be completely disqualified.
a. Anyone who promises to raffle off something loses a bonus ticket. If you promise but don't really mean it, then you won't lose a ticket.
b. Anyone who posts "I love Obama!" gets a bonus ticket.
c. Anyone who posts "When Biden speaks, he speaks for me!" gets a bonus ticket.
d. Anyone who posts "I'm a loser and not afraid to admit it!" gets a GUTS ticket. The GUTS ticket may be redeemed for a free copy of Tokuma Shoten's visual novel "Tsukejina no Nahidoda" (but only if you win the overall raffle).
e. Anyone who enteres the raffle and is involved with the homebrew scene gets a bonus ticket.

Uh-oh, I think we got egg on our face... I missed the whole deal with Bardoly's raffle and silly stipulations like getting people to say "Texas is the greatest state" which was obviously sarcasm for hating on the state. "I love America" was probably sarcasm from the guy too. But anyway, I see that Emerald Rocker was just spoofing Bardoly's thread. Was kinda wondering why a raffle was in Fighting Street, but yeah, I missed the joke not having seen Bardoly's raffle/thread.
So yeah, this is not a raffle, it's a ROFFLE. ;) I was gonna say, who would even really want a Japanese RPG like "Dragon Slayer I" given the English localization anyway? That was the other clue even if you hadn't seen the Bardoly thread, but I wasn't sure since JoshTurboTrollX-16 (I think or someone else) had raffled a Japanese Dungeon Explorer around here and people wanted that, so I didn't pooh-pooh it on that basis.

Yeah, that's part of the gag/point. Hardly anybody qualifies with such a stipulation having to be registered before June, 2005. Hehe! Bardoly, with his real raffle, disqualified everybody that has used profanity on this forum, so it's an attempt at illustrating absurdity by being even more absurd. ;)
