Hi everyone,

This is the follow up to my HIT THE ICE raffle.  The game this time is DEEP BLUE.

I will drawing a list of top ten finalists, and then make a final draw.  I really liked the suspense this creates.  8)

This raffle will be closed on September 4th

Rules:

1) Please do not enter if you already have this game.  Entering to get a second copy for your kids is fine.
2) You must have already raffled something off to the community.  If you haven't, then what are you waiting for?

I'd like to Join this one. I have yet to add this game back to my collection. Slowing building back up everything I had as a kid again. Like an idiot I sold it all 7 years ago. I always enjoyed this game. Especially the music.

Interestingly, alone with Twin Bee and Pomping World, this was my first ever PC Engine game.

And I can also say that NOBODY entering this raffle is greedy. Everyone in this raffle is a masochist.

I actually beat this game once after playing for like 3 weeks when i was a kid.... WORSE ENDING EVER!

I have been told to avoid this like the black plague. I will avoid it since I have such a small collection right now, but it's bad ass that so many giving these games away!!!

It's not bad per say, it's just darn out right impossible, you will get hit, a lot, and there isn't a good strategy to employ, you just have to make it through.  There is no real story either, just a straight forward shooter underwater.  Looks cool, it just is missing a bit of the "fun factor".   This could have been an awesome game, just seems like someone forgot to polish it up and add in some story.

Many years ago, someone revealed the secret: you are not supposed to shoot your way to survival. There are segments where avoiding enemy sea creatures is the best strategy. Your life replenishes when you don't shoot? Blah. Blah.

However, the handful of times I have played this mighty TurboChip in the intervening decade...well, I just wanted to shoot everything.

Where, as always, I (you) hit a brick wall.

So, one of these days, I'll try a new tactic.

But I'll still want to shoot up scallops and sea cucumbers.  :pcgs:

Haha, if I did, I wouldn't have won Deep Blue and I would have one that Duo from a few months ago, Bonk 3 and the upcoming Air Zonk. :P

Do I actually have to play this when I get it? It's... entertaining I think only to display how incompetent the developers were. :D Haha. At least it has squid. I kind of find squid fascinating.
