I don't know about using a ignore list per-say as a means of disqualification. You should ask Bernie, Sparky, and others if that is their method of disqualifying others. For me its not. If someone on ignore posted in a raffle I would still take the time to check what they posted, and enter them if need be. I'd typically only want my raffle rules to be inline with others done prior to mine basically, to keep things in the spirit of giving. And to be honest, I'd rather say who was excluded and why publicly then to just leave them hanging when they ask wtf is going on and why their name wasn't entered in. Though to be honest, in future raffles now I also plan to exclude anyone who has not done a raffle of some type themselves and also raise the bar on the post count. This will hopefully maybe discourage "taking" behavior from people who only take and never give back.

So we are clear on this, the following wont be allowed to partake in mine:
1. People who use their raffle as a means of punishing and excluding others simply due to their posting habits or disagreements or to hold popularity contest.
2. People who are known re-sellers.
3. People who request people to say stupid shit or jump through hoops in their raffles, aka dog tricks to gain approval.
4. People who have not held a public raffle their-selves, or some other public give away that did not exclude people for reasons listed on #1.(excused if post count over 700)
5. Post count under 150.
I guess on future raffles I will just refer to this post for the rules. Hopefully that will clear up any questions or concerns about any raffle I would hold myself.

BTW, it appears Bernie's Grandma died which might explain why he's been chill in the whole Xray aftermath. I am slower to reach a conclusion because I have to consider all of the evidence first, and am the eternal skeptic who avoids bandwagons like the bubonic plague. Heh! Kinda hard when at least one of the mods wanted a sign themselves... ;) It just meant we as members had to be more active in "banning him" in the court of public opinion at the very least. He was on a power trip, thought that he could leverage the fact that so many people wanted his signs that it'd provide a level of deterrence to criticism/opposition and that he could get away with dropping pedophilia charges or whatever else... It did give him cover for a while and I know that there are a few people that likely now hate me more than before and others (Professor, JibbaJabbba, etc., whoever else helped to bring him down, so to speak) but oh well... Price to pay for wanting justice after he dropped those pedophilia charges.

After that, a creator could only edit all of their posts to nothing, but not affect what anybody else posted in the thread. You've gotta ask a mod to delete the whole thing.

If there's a silver lining to our unmoderated boards, it's the ad hoc posses that spring up to deal with troublemakers. It's a lot more fun than bickering with you old coots; I just wish it wasn't a daily necessity.  

The community beatdowns are usually fairly successful - kuijiboy, alexduo, storino, canada, royvegas, and xray have hung on, but no longer participate in general discussion. Regalsin is the only persistent fartleberry.

The difference between RegalSin and the rest of them is that you should already know ahead of time that he is a career troll and nothing he says can be taken seriously... and the longer he spends on a forum without being banned, the more extreme his posts become.

The Swastika itself, as most are aware, predates the Nazis by 1,000's of years. The SA symbol, which caused such a squeamish reaction, is really pretty mild.

There are many forms of the symbol that is incorporated into the Nazi swastika, which is depicted in a specific way. It is inverted compared to some other similar symbols and is tilted. Putting it in a circle is also part of the Nazi's logo.

My regular avatar which has been visible on this site for years, features a variation of that symbol, which hateful parents groups in the U.S. equate to Nazism. No one has had a probkem with it or accused me of anything hate related.

You are correct about the Iron Cross, it's a old military decoration that doesn't deserve to get corrupted by all things associated with the Nazis or racism and so I only dealt with the Nazi jet, the Nazi SA signs he was making in his garage, as well as hanging out on a racist, anti-black, hate-mongering site. The one the Nazis incorporated as their own has a swastika in the middle, so there's a difference.

As for the swastika, it's way too far gone to resuscitate it and separate it from complete association with the Nazis... Occasionally pointing out that the symbol predates Germany (saying, essentially, that they stole it, it's unoriginal) is never going to accomplish separating it from the Nazi legacy/use. That was their chosen symbol used throughout, and trying to separate them from it would be as futile as trying to separate communists from the hammer & sickle symbolism.
