So, my magic the gathering addiction refreshed my Arabian Nights fanboyisms.


I dug out my old Arabian Nights books, then went HEY.

SINDIBAD FOR PCE


I dug that out and started playing it.   It's kind of hokey looking, but surprisingly fun.   Has anyone else given the game a shot?  

Shit.  People like the game that much!

I have never heard of this game before reading your first post.
It is now on my loooooong Turbo want list.   :mrgreen:

It's never looked good enough for me to give it a proper go yet. One day perhaps.

It has some odd graphics that remind me of things I did when I was like 12 in RPGMaker.   

Just had a quick go, it's actually not that bad. Looks like it might have some potential if you are willing to put in the time.

It's probably the greatest accidental PCE game I have acquired.    I don't remember buying it.   


It's almost as good as Magic of Schehzehrahrahrharharhahaaaacharizard on NES as far as Arabian Nights jive.


Sindibad seems a bit more... faithful to the stories than MoS. 

Shadow TILES! It has 'em! HAH!

I still laugh at the cover since it has little goofy ass screenshots of the game on the sides.

I played the game for awhile, I found out it, was on the NES, or game like it was on the NES. It so awesome that Sinbad appeared on the PCE.

I think Runin beat this game and had good things to say about it. Check the Brothers Duomazov site.

Game looks fun, but my nihongo skills are sorely lacking...   :shock:

Someday I will learn their language...  someday...

I left the game on at the title screen for like 4 hours yesterday.    I think it is one of the best chiptunes I've ever heard.

At first I got a bit of a Megaman vibe with it then the more "arabic" themes kicked in and I started dancing to it.

It's a really really nicely done tune.

Everyone should fire this bitch up and listen to that tune.
